Picnic of the Eiffel Tower

~Adrien/Chats POV from last night~

That was... something. What was that moment? I never noticed how blue her eyes were. I had to leave I can't explain why but I knew I had to get out of there. It's not like I like Mari or anything! She's just an amazing friend! A really great... friend.

~Marinette's POV~

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

Oh god I'm tired. 

"Marinetteeeee! I need you to pick something up for me at the grocery store in a few minutes!!" My mom yelled from the bakery. "Alright Mom!" 

Why do I already have to do something? I just woke up. "Hi Marinette! You better get going, the grocery is only open until 6  pm and you know how fast it sells!" Tikki yawned. "You're right" I mumbled.

Once I went downstairs my mom gave me a list of things. "Yogurts, roses, plastic utensils, and a table cloth" What a weird list, such random things. 

When I walked out the door I felt that warm summer breeze, I smelled the flowers and the could hear the birds chirping, it felt amazing. Once I left the grocery I kept thinking about last night. Why does Chat keep coming to see me?  I see him enough already as Ladybug, but I guess he doesn't know that. He really helped me, once again I saw a side of him that I never see when he's with Ladybug, he wasn't cocky or anything. he was just there to comfort me. I kept thinking when I looked up and heard someone call my name

"Marinette! Marinette! I've been calling your name! What's on your mind girl? You know what just wait one second, I need to tell you something! I totally forgot about the masquerade ball!" Alya shouted. "Oh. my. god. I totally forgot!! What am I gonna do? It's too late to ask Adrien, I have no one to go with!" I replied. "Who said you couldn't ask Adrien? Or maybe he'll ask you!!" "Oh come on Alya. He's never going to ask and what if he says no? Or what if-" 

At that moment I felt someone pick my up bridal style. But suddenly I was in the air, what the- I looked up and saw CHAT. "Hello sunshine!" Chat beamed. "Chat put me down!!" I yelled "Now what would be the fun in that?" He snickered

He brought me up to the top of the Eiffel Tower, but why? 

"Chat I know we have been hanging out but I was in the middle of a conversation with-" Of course he wasn't listening. He looked into my bag and saw a rose, "Is that for me? Oh well of course it is!" he winked and laughed

"Chat WHAT am I doing up here?" I growled "Woahhh someone's mad, something on your mind?" He reached for some stuff in my bag. "I'll answer your question if you answer mine." I said while going to the edge of the rail, Paris is so beautiful from up here. I turned around ready to tell him I needed to get down when I saw the table cloth laid down on the floor with two yogurts and a spoon on each side. 

"Chat? Why'd you use everything I bought!" I said irritatingly. "Oh come on! it was a perfect picnic set up!" he smiled, it made me feel- never mind.

I sat down with him and he asked me what was wrong

"Well the masquerade ball is coming up and I was going to ask this boy I like but-" While I was speaking I saw his face scrunch up. "You like a boy?!"

~Chat/Adriens POV~

She likes a boy? WHAT BOY? Wait, why am I so mad? I'm the one who asked. I'm- I'm happy for her, I always want my friends to be happy.

I smiled again to make her feel less awkward, "Sorry. That came out weird. I'm just surprised. Anyways continue." 

"Well like I was saying I like this boy and I forgot to ask him to go, I doubt that I even could though. Each time I see him I stutter and mix up my words."

I wonder who she's talking about...

"Hey you know what let's just watch the clouds, I'm tired of talking." she said blushing, since she had been talking to ME of all people about her crush. So we did.  

~An hour later~

RING RING RING

"Oh that's my phone, it's probably her asking why you swooped me up like that, kitty." she said while rolling her eyes, I love her attitude. 

Marinette: Hey Alya!

Alya: Girl WHAT WAS THAT? ARE YOU AND CHAT DATING? OMG OMG OMG OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE IT MY BEST FRIEND IS DATING CHAT NOIR! HOW WILL LADYBUG FEEL ABOUT THIS-

"I'm sure she's fine." Marinette muttered quietly 

Marinette: Alya! Chat and I are not dating! He just- uh- needed my help?

Alya: Okay well I guess this is good then... Luka has been looking around for you.

Marinette: LUKA?? I GOT TO GO SEE YA ALYA!!

"Chat. You have to bring me down NOW!" Marinette squealed, "Okay okay! Let's just wrap this up." Chat muttered. 

~Marinette's POV~ 

Oh god what if Luka asks me to the ball?! I'd love to go with him! Let me pack up! I grabbed the cloth at the same time as Chat and at that moment our hands touched. I looked up and saw him blushing and staring at me. Again. His eyes. So green. I keep getting mesmerized by them. He kept staring into my eyes too.. We stayed like that for a few seconds before I moved my hand. 

"Well uh... I should get going- could you bring me down?" I said while blushing, "Ye-yeah uh sure." Chat mumbled

Once he brought me down I saw Luka, he didn't look happy when he saw me in Chat's hands holding me bridal style.   

"Hey Luka! Bye kitty!" I said while running towards Luka, "Bye sunshine!" Chat said while staring down Luka. "Kitty? Sunshine?" Luka said while giving Chat a death stare. "Yeah they're just friendly nicknames we gave each other!" I said while chuckling, "Friendly... Anyway's I wanted to ask you something..." Luka said while holding my hand

~Chat's POV~

I brought her down after that... moment. What am I saying? Marinette's a friend! It was just a friendly mo- What? Luka? What's he doing here?

Woah, someone's giving me the death stare. Luka seems mad that I'm holding Marinette like this. I like how jealous he is. I let her down and glared into his eyes. It seemed as though a challenge. I like that too.
