Chapter Eleven

Louis' Pov.
I was awoken by the sound of someone, who I'm guessing was Harry, talking in their sleep.

I raised my head up to look at him and saw he was moving around in the bed, it looked like he was having a nightmare. Incoherent mumbling was coming from him and he sounded upset.

I stood up and walked over to the bed, sitting on the edge beside Harry.

"Harry," I whispered, "Harry wake up doll you're dreaming." He didn't wake up and continued in his nightmare state. I didn't want to touch him and end up scaring him but I didn't want him to keep having a nightmare either.

I checked the time on my watch and it read 2:38 am. I sighed and gently shook Harry's shoulder. He instantly sat up in bed, he raised up too fast causing him to bump his head right into mine.

"Ouch." I whispered quietly. Harry looked confused. "You were having a bad dream so I woke you up." I explained, giving him small smile. He returned it, it wasn't much but it was there.

"What time is it?" He whispered, I'm guessing he didn't want to wake Niall up.

"About 2:40, you alright?" I asked him. He nodded slowly but I could tell he was lying.

There was a moment of silence before Harry started talking.

"I dreamt about it." He looked down, fiddling with his hands.

"Do you want to tell me about it?" I asked quietly, peering down at the younger boy.

"It was basically the same thing that happened tonight...he just- he got farther." Harry explained in a small whisper.

I was about to say something but then he started speaking again.

"I was so scared, earlier tonight.... I was so so scared Louis." Harry whimpered, looking up into my eyes. Just the sight of how sad he was made me want to cry.

"I know, I know Harry..." I sighed, I wanted to hug him but I knew he would freak out.

"Do you want to do something to take your mind off of it?" I suggested, giving Harry a smile.

Harry thought for a moment, then gave me a smile in return.

"Is your car still here?" He asked, a hopeful look in his eye.

"It is." I confirmed, I think I knew what he had in mind.

"Can we go for a drive?" He asked, he didn't look as upset as before, and even though I was tired I wanted him to get his mind off of Grimshit even if it was only for a little while.

"Of course." I promised. He smiled, dimples showing and everything. We both stood up and walked out of the room as quietly as we could, Harry grabbing his shoes from beside the bed on the way.

We walked downstairs and out of the house, getting into my car. Harry started putting his shoes on once we got in the car.

"Where are your shoes?" Harry asked, pointing at my feet that only had socks on them.

"Psh," I shrugged, "who needs shoes?"

Harry laughed at this, then shrugged and took his shoes back off, throwing them into the back of the car. I chuckled and shook my head at him, starting my car and heading in a random direction.

After we got out of the neighborhood I glanced at Harry. He had his head resting against the window, watching the trees blur past us.

"So where to?" I asked him.

"Let's just... Drive and see where we end up." He suggested, I nodded.

"Your wish is my command!" I exclaimed, eventually we were driving on the highway and I spotted a McDonald's.

I pulled into the center with the fast food place and parked in the parking lot.

"Wanna get something to eat?" I asked Harry. He nodded and I opened my door to get out.

"Wait! Louis you don't have shoes!" Harry laughed, gesturing to me feet.

I shrugged again, "Who needs shoes?" I smiled, getting out of the car. I heard Harry giggle before getting out too, with only socks on his feet, and walked with me into the McDonald's.

We got to the register and the employ gave us an odd look, probably because we were two teenagers coming into a fastfood restaurant with no shoes on at almost 3 in the morning.

"What can I get you?" They man behind the counter said in a bored tone.

"I'll have an Oreo McFlurry and a small fry." I said politely, turning to Harry.

"And for you?" I asked him before the cashier got the chance.

"Same thing for me." He smiled at the man, turning and smiling at me.

The man disappeared and after about 3 minutes he came back with our order. We thanked him and I paid, since I was the only one who had a wallet with them.

We walked back to my car, but instead of getting inside Harry started to climb onto the roof.

"What are you doing?" I laughed, following his movements. I placed the food on the roof of my car and climbed up with him.

"Look up." He said, doing so himself.

I did as he told and looked up at the sky, it was quite cloudy. There were only a few stars visible but it was so pretty, the clouds were dark shades of blue and looked so fluffy and it was amazing.

"I think the clouds are prettier than the stars." Harry said, he grabbed his McFlurry and ate a spoonful. I grabbed my fries and dipped them in mine.

"These ones definitely are." I mumbled, looking back up into the sky.

We stayed up on the roof of my car for awhile, eating our food and looking at the dark night sky clouds. I was happy that I successfully took Harry's mind off of what happened, he seemed genuinely happy.

Eventually I heard him let out a content sigh and slid down the windshield of my car, landing on the ground. I did the same. Harry grabbed our trash and walked to a nearby trashcan to throw it away. When he got back we climbed into the car and I got back onto the highway, driving in the direction we came.

"Louis?" Harry said quietly.

"Hm?"

"Thank you for this."

"Don't mention it love."

Yes? No? Bonding? I think so... Anyway I really like this chapter so I hope you guys do too. I wrote this late at night, that's were I got the cloudy night sky idea from.
