Uggh. I take a deep breath before approaching them.They seem to literally be eating each other. They can do what they want I don't give a fuck but really on Emery's car come onnnnn. I mean they're going at it so they don't even notice me.
I clear my throat hoping that catches their attention but they continue not even acknowledging me .
" Umm excuse me, sorry but this is my car and I need to head out." I say sternly but making sure to keep the attitude to a minimum.
The girl just scoffs and rolls her eyes. Then she has the audacity to continue as if I didn't just tell her to move.
" look just get off so I can leave." I say this time not even bothering to leave the attitude out of my tone. The guy gets their hint and says, " Lets go to my place Emily." Then grabs her wrist pulling her off the hood of Emery's car.
Emily agrees and leaves but not before sending me a nasty glare. Or at least she tries but she just looks ridiculous in my humble opinion.
Ahh so the bitch has a name ✨ Emily.✨I shrug her death stare off and get into the car. I adjust the seats, fix my music and start jamming to "she's kinda hot" by 5sos while
reversing out of the parking lot.
After a short 5 minutes I arrive home and throw my backpack on my bed. I check my
phone and see a message.
Julie: I'm going to come later today at like 5 but I have chores that I have to do
before leaving.
I respond with
Me: See you then. I'm going on a run. BRING ICE CREAM THE VEGAN KIND!! I want to binge watch Whatever that show you were talking about once you get here.
I'm vegan. Not for my health but for the environment and the animals.
Anyways once I send the message I change into a sports bra,and biker shorts . Not lulu lemon because I'm a broke bitch but just Some plain black ones.
My parents are at work and they already know about my runs. So, I don't need to tell them or ask for permission.
I then quickly throw my hair into a ponytail. I was going to wear a sweater but decided against it because it was kind of hot outside.
I slip on some sneakers and close the door. I putt on my AirPods and slip my phone into my waistband.
I start on a steady pace. I decide to take a new route and head to the park. By the time I reach the park I'm all sweaty and tired but I continue with a steady jog.
I've been jogging for about 20 minutes now and I decide to take a breather. I walk closer to the park and start walking towards a bench nearby.
All of a sudden I feel a sharp pain on my ankle. What the hell was that. That shit hurt. I turn around to see a skateboard rolling around next to my feet and a tall handsome guy running after it.
I look up at him and realize that the skateboard is his. I bend down grab the skateboard and hand it to him. The thing was heavier than I expected but I managed to do it with ought looking like a complete idiot.
The guy quickly retrieved the skateboard and scratches the back of his neck nervously.
"Oh, thanks I'm sorry about that are you okay." The guy asks while flicking his eyes back and forth between my eyes.
"Uh, yeah don't worry about I'm good." I say while nervously shifting from one foot to the other.
"Ok, good well bye." He says he was about to turn around when Alex comes out of nowhere.
"I told you not to try to-....Oh hey." Alex gives me a smile showing his dimples. His eyebrows are furrowed and his head is slightly tilted. He's probably curious as to why I'm here.
"Hey."I say while giving him a small smile.
The tall guys eyes flicker from Alex to me then back to Alex. All while Alex and I still hold eye contact.
The tall guy smirks at Alex then asks , " Hey, ummm,"
"Lily." I say with a smile.
"Lily," the guy says smiling back. "do you want to come with me and Alex to the smoothie place next door. We were just about to go and you look like you could use a break from whatever you were doing." He says looking me up and down.
"Smoothies on me." the guy says with a cheerful tone while nudging Alex and wiggling his eyebrows.
