He gives me a peck on lips after dropping me off to work. Agad akong pumasok sa cafe. The cafe looks radiant and cozy with lots of customers. Well, this cafe isnt just a normal cafe. Its a french inspired book cafe where you can live your imaginations while leisuring and drinking your favorite coffee.
Lots of books are displayed. May different book sections- a room to be exact for different genres of books. Rooms are motif and themed accordingly to the genres a writer and reader is up to. This cafe is built for writers and book swollen individual.
You can even describe it as a mini library pero ang kaibahan lang is that its built to write, read and leisure. What is exceptional in here is that every customer/ writer is given a chance to write their story whether fictions or non and can submit it sa writing contest ng cafe. And who ever the lucky one that would win ay syempre ipupublish ito and can be featured sa book exhibit ng cafe na magaganap every last week of April.
This has been done to honor the late wife of Mr. Écrivez, Mrs. Inca Écrivez. Kaya nga pinangalanan itong Inks and Leisure hango sa ngalan ng asawa nya. Based on the chika, Mrs. Inka was a renowned writer on her days. She was the epitome of words kaya nga his husband had madly fallen inlove with her because how swollen she was in writing. She was so kind and humble as what they said, but sad to say she died because of cancer. So after she passed away, her husband decided to built a book cafe showing her deep and sincere affection to her wife and here it was Mr. Écrivez spare his time managing the business kasi wala naman silang anak because the signor cant even sire a child but inspite of that minahal sya ni Mrs. Inca.
As a I enter agad akong binati ni Riri, my co worker, with a flash of smile in her face.
"Hey girl, G'morning!" bwelta nito ng makarating ako sa counter. "Change ka na dami nating customer ngayon. Mapapasanaol na lang talaga ako sa jowa mo," hirit nya sabay kurot sa tagiliran ko.
"Aw, tumigil ka nga! Oo na alam ko papunta na nga oh," sabi ko sa kanya and went to my locker to change clothes.
Riri had become my closest friend since nagtrabaho ako dito sa cafe and its been months since then. She did even guide and manage me kung ano ang proper ways to approach a customers nung baguhan ako knowing na di ako sanay sa trabaho. She's an AB Literature student also. Kaya we did clicked together in an instant kasi we have the same likes. Inks and paper is our passion.
After changing agad agad akong pumunta sa counter at nadatnan syang nagprepare ng machiatto.
"Bring it in Salle de Roman Tragiqué (rooms of the tragedy novels). Wag mo lang toknakin baka makatay sya ng jowa mo," she said rolling her eyes and smirks.
Gosh. Paranoid na talaga si Eizle, I let out a chuckle as she says that. And yes, Riri and Eizle are good friends. In fact ginawa pa talaga nyang spy si Riri sa mga kinikilos ko dito as if naman maghahanap pa ako. Lalaking yun napaghahalataang inlove sakin.
I get the tray and took a glance on the sticky notes. Uh-huh Kareem. So Kareem was his name after all. He's been one of the consistent customer here and I bet his a book swollen man also pero and pinagtataka ko lang why always at the room of tragedy novels. Well it doesnt matter, so I went for him and serve his favorite machiatto.
"Bonjour Monsieur! Heres your order, bonne journee!"
I greeted him with a smile serving his favorite drinks. He just raised his hands directing me na ilapag lang sa mesa yung machiatto nya. So I did it and akma na sanang aalis but...
"Grazie miss," he said helding his specs. I just smiled at him and walks away.
So thats how he looks like uh. He has a well featured looks that any women would drool over but he's way too stoic and cold. Siguro walang nagkakagusto dito. Gosh! Pakialamera ka masyado Alli.
