"Hoseok, good that you're here!" a girl slid to sit on the free chair next to Hoseok. It was Sun, a friend from Hoseok's department, who had become both of their best friend during the few months they had studied in that university.

It was maybe a bit tiring, dating and having the same group of friends, but Hyungwon hadn't yet met anyone from his own department who he would get well along with. He wished he would have close friends who were law students as well but for some reason he seemed to have missed the memo when everyone got to know each other in the beginning of the school year. Now he already found it too awkward to join the student parties and other activities since he had no friends there. It was the result of only hanging out with Hoseok for years - he didn't know how to meet other people.

"What, why is it good?" Hoseok questioned, confusion clear on his face because he assumed Sun to have some big ulterior motive behind this sudden appearing.

"We have a lecture starting in fifteen so let's go together," Sun showed a wide smile and then turned to Hyungwon. "You have a lecture right now as well, right? In the C building?"

Hyungwon nodded. "Yep. You remember my schedule so well meanwhile Hoseok wouldn't be able to remember it even if I had told it to him this morning," he then said, giving Hoseok a look.

"I take pride in that," Sun flipped her hair and turned back to Hoseok. "This guy wouldn't even remember his own classes without me."

"I can't remember my name without you," Hoseok admitted, not bothering to argue; if it was Hyungwon then he would definitely fight that there was nothing wrong with his memory but since it was Sun, there was no denying his memory sucked. "Alright, we're leaving now. See you later," he then said, giving Hyungwon a wink before standing up with Sun and walking out of the cafeteria.

Hyungwon got up as well and left in the other direction to head towards his lecture hall. He took out his backpack to check if he had all the materials he needed for that class and continued walking while digging out sheets of paper, all scattered around his backpack, trying to find a certain one.

"Fuck," he muttered under his breath and stopped to dig deeper, continuously turning over the same papers but none of them what was he needed. He pulled out the notebook and started scrolling through it in hopes that the assignment he was looking for would be somewhere in there.

His fingers suddenly stopped and his eyes widened as he realized what was wrong; it wasn't his notebook. Instead of anything Hyungwon had taken notes of during his law studies, the pages were filled with complicated math problems written in messy handwriting. He cursed again and turned around on his heels, ready to start running to the other side of the campus to find Hoseok and get his own notebook back.

Before managing to take any more than one step, his movement was stopped by another person's chest. He stumbled back and all the things he had been holding dropped to the ground.

"Shit, sorry," he mumbled and dropped to the ground on his knees, not sparing even a glance at the person he had ran into and just trying to quickly gather the dozens of papers now scattered across the floor.

"Sorry, I should have watched where I was going," the other person said and knelt down as well to help Hyungwon collect his papers. Hyungwon felt embarrassed and he knew it was completely his fault since he had suddenly turned around and started running without watching.

"I'm sorry," Hyungwon repeated and quickly stood back up, wondering if there was still enough time to run to Hoseok and back before his lecture would start. The other person got up as well, in a much more peaceful manner than Hyungwon had. Hyungwon finally lifted up his head to see who exactly he had collided with.

The guy was more than three inches taller than Hyungwon, had a handsome face like an actor and was dressed in fashionable but modest clothing that really highlighted his amazing proportions. He smiled and handed Hyungwon the couple pieces of paper and notebook he had picked up.

"Isn't this such a cliche way to meet someone. Shin Hoseok, is it?" he questioned, having taken a peek at the name written on top of the notebook. "I thought I knew the names of all law students but your name is unfamiliar. Are you a minor student?"

"No, I got my notebook mixed up with someone. That was where I was trying to run to. I think my assignment is in that notebook," Hyungwon explained the situation and took the things from the taller guy, putting them back inside the backpack so he wouldn't make a mess again. "I'm Chae Hyungwon."

"Oh, I know you. You're a first year student, right? I'm Kim Seokwoo, I'm on my second year," the man now known to be Seokwoo glanced at a clock on the wall. "Unfortunately I think you won't make it in time if you leave now. Sit next to me and I can share my assignment with you. The teacher is not going to ask us to return them anyways."

"Are you sure?" Hyungwon didn't want to miss any assignments so he wasn't sure if he should trust this guy's word.

"Trust me. I'm doing this course for the second time already and the teacher is doing everything exactly the same way as last year," Seokwoo flashed Hyungwon a smile and walked past him towards the lecture room, expecting Hyungwon to follow him.

Hyungwon, still feeling something that was a mix of embarrassment and nervousness, followed him to sit together in the middle row of the lecture hall. He took out the notebook again and flipped it around to take notes on the last page to not mix up whatever notes Hoseok had in there. Seokwoo glanced over as Hyungwon scribbled a title on top of the page.

"So how did you get your notebook mixed up with this Hoseok person?" he asked, leaning his head on his hand and staring at Hyungwon.

"Oh, we live together so I must have packed the wrong notebook," Hyungwon explained, just taking a wild guess since he wasn't even sure himself how it had happened.

"Roommate?" Seokwoo asked.

"Yeah," Hyungwon replied, immediately regretting it. Why didn't I just say he is my boyfriend? What harm would it do if people knew about my sexuality? It's not like I would want to be friends with someone who wouldn't accept it. Besides, we are in a university, people here are usually pretty intelligent and don't care about things like that. He went through a whole monologue inside his head but still didn't end up correcting himself. The lecture started and he focused on listening to it instead.

Once the lecture had finished Seokwoo turned to look at Hyungwon again, resting on his hand in the same manner he had done at the beginning of the lecture. "Hey, Hyungwon..." he started slowly and Hyungwon raised his brows as he waited to hear what the other had to say. "We're having a small party with a couple of friends from my year tomorrow so I was wondering if you wanted to come as well? It's not really even a party, it's just the five of us getting together and playing some games with a couple of drinks."

Hyungwon was taken aback since he had never been invited to any function by anyone other than his old friends. "Sure. Why not," he replied, not even knowing how to respond to a request like that. A wide smile spread on Seokwoo's face once again.

"Great. Mind giving me your number?" he held out his phone and Hyungwon just typed in his number without saying anything. "Thanks. I'll see you later," Seokwoo sounded happy and got up to walk out of the lecture room now that he had completed his mission.

Hyungwon felt strange. Had he just acquired a friend of his own for the first time in years? He was happy about it and he couldn't wait to go to the 'party' to meet Seokwoo and his friends.
