Melody was sitting on her living room couch, while her brother played video games on the TV. Her mom was out on another shift, which left Melody to take care of Gunner as usual.

Suddenly, there was a banging at the door. Melody stands and goes to open the door to find Sweet Pea on the other side. "What do you want, Maddox?"

"We need to talk." He says. As Melody looked him over, she could see he seemed a bit stressed, so she invited him in.

They make their way to the kitchen and Sweet Pea sits down as Melody gets them both some lemonade she had made earlier. She hands him a glass, then sits down at the opposite end of the dining table. "What's going on, Pea?"

Sweet Pea doesn't answer for a few seconds before he sighs. "You need to break up with your boyfriend."

A look of confusion sweeps across the female Serpent's face. "Excuse me?"

"He is just using you, Song Bird. Heard him last night talk about how he couldn't wait until he got into your pants." He takes a drink and lets her process what he told her.

Melody shakes her head. "Yeah he told me how you beat him up last night, which is bullshit by the way. Jonas isn't like that. Besides, he knows how I feel about it. I told him I didn't want to yet. Not that that was any of your business."

"I heard him with my own ears bragging about it." Sweet Pea insists, but it doesn't convince her.

"I don't believe it. I know Jonas better than that. He wouldn't hurt me. He really likes me." Melody says argues.

"Birdie, you have only been dating for a couple weeks. How can you know someone after only a few weeks?"

"It may be only a few weeks, but I trust him."

Sweet Pea scoffs. "You would trust him over me?"

"Quite frankly, yes I would. He told me last night that he was just joking around with his friends about sex and you took it the wrong way. Said that before he could explain himself, that you punched him and broke his nose." Melody crosses her arms giving him a disapproving look.

Sweet Pea laughs and shakes his head. "That's what he told you?" She nods. "And you believe him?"

She nods again. "Absolutely. Jonas sometimes makes jokes that can come off very vulgar. Maybe you just took it out of context."

"Context?" He starts to get frustrated, which could be heard through his voice. "Song Bird, he literally said he was trying to sweet talk you into sex."

"I'm sorry Sweet Pea, but I don't believe you." Melody says with a sigh.

Sweet Pea stands. "You know what, maybe you deserve what's coming to you. I'm trying to warn you, Birdie. Obviously, you'd choose a guy who you've known for a few days over someone who you've known your whole life. Don't come crying to me when he hurts you. I don't and won't give a rat's ass." He storms out of the trailer, leaving Melody sitting there speechless.

The next few days went by like a blur. Melody thought her life couldn't get any more complicated, yet here she was, hiding in a bush next to her uncle, spying on her cousin and his girlfriend as they find the car the Serpents had given to Jason Blossom. Guilt churned in her stomach at the fact that her favorite cousin was swept into this mess. She hasn't seen him that much since he insisted on crashing at Riverdale High. Figures he would find a way into Northside mess. The Jones family always had a knack for finding trouble.

As soon as Jughead and Betty leaves, FP and Melody get to work. They open the trunk and start gathering the important evidence in a duffle. FP could see the worry on his niece's face and stops for a moment. "Kid, everything is going to be fine. They will never connect it to us."
