The sky was pitchblack and the rain rapidly tapped against the windows of the Hastings' barn, yet the sound of giggles and talking drowned out the storm outside. The month was September, which explained why a cold gush of air waltzed into barn every now and then.

Five girls were gathered in the cold, the heat of their jackets stopping them from shivering. The faint sound of music could be heard every now and then, when no one was talking.

Aria Montgomery sat on the floor looking up at the youngest Hasting girl, giggling. Aria was the shorted of the group and the most artistic. Her hair was a dark shade of brown, only a few strands coloured a hot pink.

Spencer smiled back at the girl before turning back to the blonde opposite. Spencer was the smartest out of the five and the most competitive as she was always trying to please her parents. She spent most of her time studying or playing hockey in her backyard.

Across from Spencer, there was Hanna Marin. Hanna's blonde hair was done up in a low ponytail with the loose bits tucked behind her ears. She was kindhearted, but not very confident with herself or her body. She had a passion for fashion and was a loyal and funny friend to who she felt comfortable around.

Emily Fields was the jock of the group. She was an only child and was part of the the schools swimming team. She was known as the innocent and caring one who would always seek for the good in people. Emily was the shoulder to cry on whenever you needed one and would do anything she could to protect the ones she loved.

Blair Parker nudged the blonde and handed her a cup full alcohol, grinning widely. Blair was a troublemaker of some sort. She was.. well she was Blair. She was daring and wild yet deep down she was a sweetheart. She was the social butterfly as everyone knew who she was, and would do anything for her friends and family.

"It must be the storm" Spencer suggested when the lights and music turned off. The sound of rain was more noticeable now, as well as the whistling sound of the wind.

"Somethings out there!" Aria said, turning on a torch light before grabbing onto Spencer's arm.

"Guys!" Hanna said as they all huddled into a shaking group. They screamed when a smiling blonde jumped out from behind the door, grinning widely when she saw the look on the girl's faces.

"So not funny, Alison!" Spencer scolded, but couldn't stop the small grin that creeped its way onto her face.

Alison DiLaurentis was the Queen Bee of not only the friend group, but of Rosewood Highschool. She was the glue that held the girls together, and without her they wouldn't of even crossed paths. She was a devil in disguise. Her blonde wavy hair and angelic face hid the mean girl that she truly was, however, she did have a caring side that she showed once in a while.

Blair walked over to Alison, throwing her arm over her shoulder with a wide grin on her face. The two had known each other the longest out of all of the five friends. They had first met when Blair had moved in across the road from Alison's nine years ago. They were more like sisters than anything as they were so similar yet so different.

"Ali, did you download the new beyoncé?" Hanna asked, once they had all sat down.

"Not yet." Alison shook her head as she took the seat next to Blair.

"I'm loving the new video!" Emily gushed, smiling brightly at the girl.

"Maybe a little to much, Em." Alison smirked, before handing some alcohol to Aria. "Your turn."

"Be careful Aria, take to much and you'll tell us all your secrets." Blair smiled, slighting raising an eyebrow.

"Friends share secrets." Alison said smiling at the girl next to her. "That's what keeps us close."

"Drink up." Blair cheered before downing her own glass.

Aria stirred in her sleep slightly before reluctantly opening her eyes. "Blair." she mumbled shaking the girl that was lay next to her. "Wake up."

"Where's Ali and Spencer?" Blair grumbled, rubbing her eyes. She looked up through he dark lashes to see the other girls waking up themselves.

"We don't know." Aria whispered just as Spencer appeared in the opening of the barn door. "Ali?"

"She's gone." Spencer faltered, her face whitening.

"What do you mean she's gone?" Blair questioned, sitting up, now fully awake.

"I've looked everywhere for her. I think I heard her scream."

hi my lovelies!
hope you enjoyed the prologue

what do we think of blair?

i've changed jason's age so that it isn't such a big age gap. so instead of him being 24 when blair is 16, he will be 22.
ik it's not much better but i think it'll make less people uncomfortable.

remember to comment any ideas or theories as it helps a lot!!!!!
