Dec 7th, 2012 (Breanna)
After such an early night it was easy to wake up before Clarence brought my change of clothes. I requested information to be gathered and he brought all he could. It's too bad he didn't make it out but I found something even better at the end of my terrifying escape.
My eyes shot open, my hand still clutched the note I'd scribbled out for Clarence. I sat up, staying under the warmth of my blankets, waiting for him.
It didn't take long, I heard his heavy footsteps coming up the hall towards my room, cell was more like it.
He opened my door, a look of surprise came upon his face after seeing I was already awake.
"Breanna, you're up early. I thought I was gonna have to wake you up." He smiled, a big goofy grin.
I curled a finger and beckoned him over, slipping the note into his hand as he took mine to help me from the bed.
"Information." I whispered.
He answered with a small incline of his head, not wanting to give away to the cameras that we'd been conspiring.
"Your clothes are on the table Breanna, I suggest you shower before the doctor comes for your shots." He winked and quickly left the room.
I grabbed the pile of clothes from the table beside the door and rushed into the bathroom. After locking the door behind me I unwrapped the parcel that held the beginnings of my escape.
I unfolded a long, pristine lab coat and some tan slacks. A pair of scissors and some eyeglasses clattered to the floor as I shook the them out. I snatched them up and put the glasses on.
I had to work quick, I only had a short amount of time to ready myself. I gathered my hair into one hand and with the other I cut just above my closed fist. I let the long locks fall to the floor, taking in my new appearance.
Amazingly, it fell into a nice bob. It did need a good trimming to even it but it wasn't too noticeable. Pulling myself away from the mirror, I pulled the flimsy pajama pants off and pulled on the slacks. I kept the long sleeved shirt on and pulled the lab coat over it.
The name tag read 'Dr. Kerrigan' with a grainy picture of a small blonde woman with glasses. I guessed that's who I was supposed to be imitating. Good thing Clarence is cutting off the power because I'm a lot smaller than this woman looks to be.
The picture disappeared before my eyes as the room was bathed in darkness.
It was time. I felt my way out of the dark bathroom and into my room to wait by the door.
I could hear the shouting and pounding footsteps outside my room as people passed by, trying to figure out the problem with the lights. It wasn't long before some of those footsteps stopped outside my door.
I sighed in relief as the door opened and Clarence softly called my name.
"Bre, you still there?"
"Right here." I reached out toward the door and made contact with his arm, grasping it.
"Let's go, we only have a few minutes." He slipped me what felt like some paper and I folded it up, placing it in the pocket of my lab coat.
I let him lead me through the darkness, trusting he knew where we were headed.
I bumped into other people as they rushed through the facility, checking to be sure the girls were still all accounted for and in their rooms. I started to get nervous as I heard my name called multiple times from various people. They knew I was gone. It wasn't long until the lights were back on and they were able to see us clearly.
