TW: Anxiety attack

~(Y/N) POV~

"Draco!" I yell down the corridor.

There's no response.

I've been running after him for at least fifteen minutes, trying to keep my mind off the Boggarts. I watch him disappear behind another corner.

"I'm done." I whisper to myself and collapse against the wall, sliding onto the floor. "He obviously doesn't need my help, but I could use his."

I bury my face into my hands and let out a sob. Images of Draco's dead body cloud my mind. Maxx's too.

My head starts pounding, and my chest tightens. I try and count down, but the numbers jumble, only panicking me further. I dig my fingernails into my leg and cry harder.

Someone grabs my shoulders. I flinch and try to see who it is through the tears.

"(Y/n)? Are you okay?" They ask me.

"Draco?" I rub my eyes.

"It's Cedric." He kneels next to me.

"And Jackson." He pats the top of my head.

"We saw you run past our classroom." Cedric frowns.

"So we made up some dumb excuse to leave early." Jackson keeps his hand on my shoulder. "Please breathe. You'll feel better soon."

I slow down my breathing and latch onto Jackson's hand.

"What upset you so much?" Cedric wipes the tears off of my face.

"We were facing Boggarts in Defense Against the Dark Arts today." I sniffle. "Mine was horrible. Draco's too. I was running after him but I couldn't keep going."

"Lupin didn't take over? Even after he saw you freak out?" Jackson furrows his brows.

"No!" I say a little too loudly. "Draco flipped out first, and before I could go after him, Lupin pushed me forward to face my own."

"Well." Cedric starts, a little uncomfortable. "What was it?"

"It was- it was." I bite my lip again. "My mother killed Draco and Max."

Jackson and Cedric stare at each other.

"And Draco's?" Jackson turns back to me.

"At first it was just his father, but then... it changed." I look at the floor.

"Into what?" Cedric nudges me in the arm.

"I don't know if he wants me spreading this around." I say numbly. "So please keep it a secret."

They both nod.

"His father killed me. I was dead by his feet." Another tear runs down the side of my face.

"Lupin shouldn't have done that." Jackson stands up and holds his hand out for me. "It's a little too intense for a classroom. I think he should have stopped after what happened with Draco."

"Do you want help finding Draco?" Cedric suggests.

"No. I'll find him on my own." I take Jackson's hand to stand.

"If that's what you want." Cedric smiles understandably.

"Oh, and by the way." I wipe away the last of my tears. "Sorry for going radio silent. I feel like I've been drifting away from you guys recently."

"It's okay." Jackson shrugs. "We know you've been busy."

"And overwhelmed." Cedric adds.

"Thanks for understanding. We should all get together sometime. Like last year." I start to turn away.
