"The silver highlights are so cute awh," Violet gushed as she ran her hands through my newly dyed hair.
"Thanks," I smiled.
She dropped the lock of hair she had been playing with and squished my cheeks with one hand, "My cute lil' goth."
I gave her an unimpressed look, "Might I remind you of when your hair was completely lavender."
"Punk and proud Luna. You of all people should know that," She shook her head.
"You should do that again sometime. I really did like it. Violet violet," I smiled at the memory.
She laughed, "Good times. Maybe sometime the purple days will reign again."
"And maybe I'll dye my hair blue to match my last name too," Lucky joked, coming up behind Violet in the library.
"So what? I dye my hair blanc like you two to match my surname?" Monte teased, referring to Lucky and I's bleached hair.
I laughed and played with the ends of his curls, "No, never. Your hair is far too gorgeous as it is."
"Merci Luna. Yours is beau as well," He winked.
I poked his ticklish side. He bat my hand away as soon as Louis arrived at our table.
"Morning everyone," He said cheerfully.
"Louis you're soaked," I noticed.
"I know," He beamed.
"And you're alright with that?" Violet questioned.
He nodded, "I've chosen to embrace the bad luck I've seemed to acquire this morning. With my favorite pair of jeans ripped, my coffee spilled on some street leading here, my failure to remember an umbrella and my homework soaked, I'd say the day can't get much worse."
"Maybe you need a little slice of me," Lucky joked, patting him on the shoulder.
"At least your sketchbook didn't get ruined," I added gently.
He smiled up at me, his tawny hair drenched and sticking to his face, "That's what I told myself."
Just then Sienna and Liam joined our group, shivering and soaking wet, much like Louis.
"You too?" Louis asked sympathetically.
Sienna gave a sideways glance at Liam, a bit annoyed I would say. Liam kind of shifted on his feet, "I um broke the umbrella trying to open it this morning."
I covered my mouth to keep from laughing but Violet made no effort to disguise her snort.
"Idiot," Sienna mumbled and tied her wet blonde locks into a messy bun.
"You can walk home if you'd like," Liam threatened, looking like he was offended and bluffing.
She turned towards him, reached up to pinch his cheek and got up on her tip toes to kiss the tip of his nose.
"That's what I thought," Liam nodded before wrapping his arms around her waist.
Someone burst loudly into the library and my breath caught in my throat when I saw who it was. It was weird for him and my friends to be in the same place. I mean Monte and Louis were always with us in art class but that was different. I realized that I had never told Violet about him and I was hoping to keep it that way. It's not like telling her should matter since he and I were just friends. Kind of. If you could call our hate-ship 'being friends'.
Everyone's eyes trailed to a dripping wet Zain who seemed to be perusing a shelf of books in the nonfiction section.
"Who's that?" Violet asked, "I've never seen him before."
