Chapter 25: It's time for a fight

As dawn rose, so did Phil and Techno. They were up early getting food for the rest. No one knew how far away they were from Dream's base or even Tommy. They must've been very close though, since they traveled more than 1000 blocks. Dream's base couldn't have been that far away. They weren't ready to turn back now.

After getting a bunch of food like chicken, steak, lamb, and porkchop, they cooked it and placed it outside everyone's tent. Once the rest wake up, everyone would pack up and leave. Phil and Techno were the only ones up though and didn't know when the rest would be awake.

Phil stood on a hill that peered over a long river and looked in the direction of the compass. We must be very close now. Phil thought to himself.

The wind picked up and his feathers went along with the wind. His broken wing's feathers would sometimes be taken by the wind. Ever since Wilbur blew up l'manberg, his wings could barely function, let alone the fact that he can't even fly. Phil could glide though, but his torn apart wing would not let him take off to the sky.

"Phil, some of the others are awake. Are you gonna be ready to go?" asked Techno, coming up behind Phil.

Philza looked back down at the compass and back up in the same direction. They were going to save Tommy no matter what happens. He was too young to have died. He shouldn't have died. I'm so sorry little one. I'm coming. I'll make up to what I have done to you. He thought, holding the compass a little closer to him.

"Yes, I'm ready. We need the others to wake up. Leaving earlier will be better in finding Tommy." Phil said walking down to Techno.

"Alright then, let's go wake up the others." Techno said as both of them were walking back to the tents.

Everyone had been woken up and all were walking. Most of them didn't like it, but they knew they had to leave. All of them knew they must've been close to the base, they were all very far away from the smp.

Everyone was walking together in groups and talking to each other. Some were talking about the plans for getting Tommy back, while some were talking about some fun times they had with him, while he was still alive. Everyone agreed on one thing, he died too young.

Phil and Techno walked in front of the group, with Tubbo and Ranboo right behind them. Techno and Tubbo both held the compass that pointed in the same direction. The compasses had a connection to each other it seemed like.

"Hey Tubbo, wanna play a game?" Ranboo asked, trying to create conversation."

"Sure what game?" Tubbo asked.

"What about...spot the mobs? It's where you name as many mobs you see as possible."

"That sounds fun. I'll play." Phil said.

"Yeah, you go first Ranboo." Tubbo said.

"Ok, there's a sheep over there." he said pointing at the sheep eating grass.

"There's a rabbit." said Phil.

"There's a-" Tubbo got caught off by Techno's hand going over his mouth.

"Phil look."

All of them looked at where Techno was looking and all saw a dark forest ahead of them. The forest looked dark and dreary, not wanting anyone to enter at all. Techno looked down at his compass and saw that it was still pointing straight ahead. Their silly little game had come to an end right then and there. Now it was time to get serious.

They walked into the forest and fear came over them all. No one knew what to expect out of here. It was a biome that none of them had seen before. New mobs must've been hiding here as well. So many vines poured down from the greenery above them. The trees towered over them as well.

Techno and Phil pulled out their swords ready for anything that might come after them. They couldn't let their guard down at all within this forest. If they did, no one knew what would happen to them. Everyone walked with caution, ready for anything that might pop out.

Techno walked ahead of everyone, his sword in his right hand while the compass was in the other. He followed the direction of the needle until he came across a large cobblestone wall. The wall was massive and looked old. It was built to keep something out, but he didn't know what.

They walked around the wall until they got to an entrance. Which was blocked off by something. Techno walked around the wall a bit and the compass pointed to the wall no matter what. Tommy was inside of that wall. They didn't know what was on the other side, but they were willing to fight.

Techno looked over at the rest of the people, who were holding out their swords, potions, and weapons. Each of them ready to charge. Phil grabbed some tnt and put it next to the wall. He then lit it, a hiss sound came from it. Techno looked over at the entrance and held his sword close to him.

"It's time for a fight."
