It was Ava's second time meeting all of the guys and it was a lot less intimidating in this scenario than it was the first time around. It was the first time she had had a chance to have conversations with Nate, Pat, and Rami without wanting to throw up, all the while stealing occasional glances while Dave helped Taylor get a start on the mountain of food they were cooking.
Pat, along with Taylor's wife Allison, made sure that her glass was never empty, and due to the lack of food and sleep, she was starting to feel a little tipsy, so she quietly moved away from them and grabbed herself a bottle of water. She perched herself on one of the comfortable-looking loungers by the pool and reveled in the feeling of the light spring breeze tousling her curls.
Every muscle in her body seemed to relax into the soft cushion behind her at the exact second Dave's voice cut through the din of conversations around her and she smirked at his almost supernatural ability of sensing and preventing even the people around him from relaxing, "Baby, where did you put your purse? My smokes are in there!"
She reluctantly peeled herself up off of the lounger and headed towards him with the pack of Parliaments that he had tossed in her bag on the way over, stealing one for herself while she was at it.
She caught the way his lip caught between his teeth a little and the way his eyes trailed down her body even from behind his aviators. He had been having a tough time keeping his hands off her on the way here and before they even left the car, he had needed her to relieve his discomfort at the bottom of the Hawkins' long driveway, which was mercifully empty despite the number of cars.

The sight of Ava in that dress, a pair of his aviators that she had grabbed from the car and one of his cigarettes hanging from her mouth damn near killed him and he cursed her for choosing that damn outfit. It wasn't necessarily revealing, but the airy material flowed down her perfect body, brushing her thighs every time she moved and it was killing him. Worse still, the shoulder cutouts did nothing only remind him where his teeth would usually clamp down on her skin to stop himself from waking the neighbors at night.
She handed him one of the cigarettes she had lit and he smiled at the little smear of red lipstick left on the filter, his mind automatically drifting back to her reapplying her makeup in the car just before they entered the party. He knew he wasn't alone in finding the dress so sexy either, he caught the looks the guys were giving her as she greeted them all.
"You're fucking killing me, you know," he murmured quietly so that Taylor wouldn't hear and he tugged on the hem of her dress.
She blushed for a moment before gaining enough composure to respond, "Is it bad that I like knowing you're over here suffering?"
"Ahh, so you're a sadist? Makes sense," he chuckled when she playfully shoved him away from her, "Seriously though, every other dude in this place almost blew their load when you walked in. You're so fucking sexy."
He watched in amazement as the blush crept a little further up her cheeks and her pupils dilated as he spoke.
He knew he wasn't going to be able to hold out much longer before he either dragged her back to the car to finish what they started in there or just threw her down on one of the loungers and fucked her in front of his friends. He would never be able to look any of them in the eye ever again, but it was a sacrifice he was willing to make today.
"Hey Disco, how do I know if something is burning?" Taylor yelled from behind them, successfully stealing Dave's attention from her, and with a quick kiss, he was back at the grills. She blew out a shaky breath, wound up from the conversation they had just had and she decided that she needed another drink.
