Cole stared at his sister with his eyebrow raised as she continuously picked green beans off his plate. His mother was sitting awkwardly at the end of the table, trying to compose herself and get comfortable in the new chairs she bought the day before. Rebekah snatched another green bean.

Rebekah was tall and stick skinny with ebony hair and pale skin. Her facial features were striking and her grey eyes were alive with energy. Rebekah had always been beautiful. She had gotten her looks from her mother, who was but a few inches shorter that her daughter. Otherwise, you could say that Lauren and Rebekah Quinn were twins. Tiffany was the opposite. She was short, and broad with defined, yet feminine muscles. She was smart, and sarcastic, but at the same time could also be a major buzz kill. Every time you looked at Tiffany, she seemed to be a little bit different than the last time you saw her. Whether her dirty blond hair (inherited from Mr.Quinn) was done differently, or she was wearing something that defined her curvy hips more or less than before, she just seemed...changed.

Thomas, Lauren's new husband was short and plumb with redish brown hair and a hearty appetite. He was either snacking on something, or watching a movie whenever you saw him. He claimed he didn't drink anything that had alcohol, but he became a hypocrite whenever he came home with stale breath and slurred words.

Rebekah snatched one more green bean.

"Rebekah, will you please stop? I need some food too!" Cole yelled, making Lauren and Thomas jump. Tiffany snorted, and took a sip of her green tea.

"I'm sorry, but Thomas over there ate all the green beans, and I am hungry!" Rebekah moaned letting her head fall on the table. Her black hair just missed landing in her mashed potatoes.

"Rebekah, you still have potatoes left." Lauren growled, trying to discretely scold Rebekah for talking disrespectfully towards Thomas.

"Yeah, but i don't want to eat something that has the word 'toe' in it. It's like pot-a-toe, and so I don't want to eat it. Just like I don't eat carrots because they have the word 'rot' in it. Car-rot , like how gross can you get?"

The table was silent after Rebekah's little speech. Thomas was watching her carefully, and wiping his mouth on his shirt sleeve. Lauren had a confused expression on her face, and was watching her potatoes carefully as if they were about to grow legs. Cole was trying to eat all his food before Rebekah got any more of it, and Tiffany erupted in laughter.

"That is the most stupid thing I have ever heard!" she gasped between breaths.

"Oh be quiet Tiffany! Everyone knows that you don't eat watermelon because you think the seeds will grow in your stomach. I mean, that is stupid in itself, but also immature." Rebekah snapped.

"Oh yeah!"

"Yeah!"

Lauren let out a frustrated sigh and set her fork down calmly. Rebekah and Tiffany got in arguments a lot, and she didn't want to deal with them during dinner.

"You girls may excuse yourselves." she yelled over the frantic arguing of the two sisters. Rebekah and Tiffany got up and went outside, to where their little fit would be muffled by the strong walls of the Quinn's house.

The Quinns were by no mean rich, or poor. They had enough money to live comfortably with a little left over for new clothes or movie nights. From the outside, it looked like any other house in their neighborhood: beige sun-baked wood panels, pressure washed driveway and sidewalk, a cute little garden with thick green hedges and healthy flowers, a series of windows that were smudged with fingerprints and a few cracks, and a gray boring roof.
