Given the number of small Pride tickets in the Innit household, including small paper pride flags on the cupboards and mantels, you would have guessed the Innit's would catch news of a pride parade, which they did. The two were hyped about it, and even designing several outfits and thrifting.
They found two hoodies that were black and white with matching rainbow going through the middle. They bought them, giving the black one to Olly and the white one to Tommy. They also found rainbow bandanas and matched them with jeans they already had.
Tommy had a bi flag and Olly had the gay one from his mother. Olly slipped the new sweater over his white t-shirt when he felt arms around his chest. Olly looked up and bopped Tommy's nose, making a little 'Bfftt' sound and sticking out his tongue. Tommy, who had been bending over to hug the latter, picked him up and snuggled him into his chest.
"I love you," Olly murmured, which was a surprise to Tommy. Olly barely ever talked and had a medical problem where he couldn't talk when he was stressed due to bullying being carried too far. "I love you too, shortie boy," Tommy whispered, way out of character.

The two had a moment of silence and pure connection between them before tying the pride flags around their shoulders like capes and rushing down to the neighborhood that was holding the Parade. When they got there, they held hands and a few others their age ran over and welcomed them. It was sort of small, a few confetti cannons and a max of 50ish people, but it was all the two needed.
The group of teens played around and sang random songs with no lyrics or tune, trying to pick up the shortest of the group (including Olly) and playing a wacky game of tag. They had a blast.
As night drew near and they were getting ready to go home, a few adults showed up and promised fireworks, so they obviously stayed. The few stands there were provided lawn chairs and blankets, so the two lovers shared one.
The fireworks were beautiful.
