'AN ASSIGNMENT THAT REQUIRES THREE TEACHERS? I wonder why..?'

Sitting at her desk, Koemi gently swung her legs and listened intently.

The probing thoughts of what could it possibly be? and what would they do? dawdled in her mind as Aizawa continued to talk, but she couldn't answer with certainty, no matter what ideas sprung up in her head.

At the podium, he eventually held up a card that had 'RESCUE' written in bold, blue letters.

"Disasters, shipwrecks, and everything in between... It's rescue training," he blankly clarified, receiving a well-earned chorus of satisfaction from the class.

"Woah! Rescue training?!"
"This'll be awesome!"

The bustling murmur of Koemi's classmates began to thrum throughout the classroom, leaving Aizawa no room to elaborate further.

His brows furrowed in mild irritation. "Hey. I'm not done."

Everyone quieted down and turned to look back at him again. Koemi softly smiled at this. They had all instantly switched from blissful excitement to visible timidity in a matter of seconds.

"You can decide whether or not you want to wear your costume, since there are some costumes that can limit your abilities too. The training will take place off-campus, so we're taking a bus. That's all. Start getting ready."

After he stepped away from the podium, everyone stood up to retrieve their costumes. The only student who didn't come up was Midoriya, which captured Koemi's attention after she retrieved hers.

The green-haired boy seemed to be looking into space before he nodded to himself and clenched a raised fist—almost as though he just went through an internal monologue of sorts.

Maybe he did? Koemi softly chortled, amused by his reaction. As she hugged her case close to her, she made her way to him and asked why he wasn't getting his.

"Oh, it got ruined during our battle training, so the support company is fixing it," he answered with a small smile. "I hope..." He mumbled the last part to himself and averted his gaze.

"I see. See you outside, then." Koemi gave him a small nod and made her way to the girl's locker room alongside Uraraka, Asui, and Jiro.

Asui and Koemi stuck together the whole way there, while Uraraka and Jiro went around acquainting themselves with the other girls—namely Ashido and Hagakure, who seemed just as bright and cheerful as the auburn-haired teen.

Even after they entered the locker room, it was primarily quiet on Asui and Koemi's end, but it felt like a peaceful kind of silence. They did manage to exchange a few words of encouragement to one another, which resulted in a sheepish smile from the taller girl and a calm, serene look on the latter.

"Do you think our new teacher will be nice?" Koemi asked, not looking at anything in particular. "I hope we won't have to fight each other again..."

Asui shifted her gaze to her, eager to relay her thoughts, but something else caught her eye first.

A wave of dread washed over her in an instant.

Although Asui was a calm and rational person, there were certain sights that had thrown her off a few times. Notably, Todoroki Shouto's scar, or Midoriya Izuku's Quirk drawbacks. But because they were visible and had always been "in her face," to put it bluntly, she'd grown accustomed to it.
