FRIDAY AFTER SCHOOLKOEMI WONDERED WHAT TYPE OF ANIMAL SHE WOULD BE. After all, it was strange to see an entire crowd of students peering into her classroom the same way people would look into zoo habitats.
She simply blinked at the sight. It wouldn't hurt for them to be a bit more discreet at the very least. But the obvious attention that the crowd garnered made even her intrigued.
"What... What's going on?" Uraraka tentatively asked, following Koemi's line of sight to face the ocean of gossiping children.
The latter shrugged and sipped her carton of orange juice. At the end of the day, no matter how curious she felt about this whole ordeal, she wanted nothing more than to go home and take a nap.
"No way out! What're they here for?!" Mineta exclaimed.
Bakugo stood beside the grape boy and scoffed, "Isn't it obvious? They're scoping out the competition, small fry. Makes sense that they'd want a look before the sports festival, cuz we're the kids who survived the attack."
His hands were nestled in the pockets of his pants, and a calm expression graced his features. As he ambled his way toward the door, Koemi could only stare at him with raised brows.
"Is Bakugo normally like this..?" she whispered to no one in particular.
She had always perceived him as this explosive and aggressive character, so seeing his uncharacteristically serene display was strange.
"That's him on a good day," Midoriya sighed.
"Really? How do you brighten his day?" Koemi asked.
"No one knows," he replied.
"...Oh."
"No point though," mumbled Bakugo, continuing his little speech. "Move aside, you damn extras!"
"Can we please not call those we don't even know 'extras'?!" Iida exclaimed, making a chopping motion with his arms.
"It's true. We came to get a look, but you sure are modest," quipped a student in the back. "Are all the kids in the hero course like this one?"
"Huh?!"
A certain indigo-haired student stepped toward the front of the mass. It was easy to pick out that noticeable, tousled hair of his, but that didn't seem to be the first thing that Koemi took note of. Her eyes subtly widened at the sight of his eyes (which were just as indigo, but that wasn't it, either).
