A week after the Grand Picnic, Dawn and Colin were mentioned in every house, every tea, every meeting, everyone was supposing the young Bridgerton was to take her hand. And it would be a total lie if I told you that they were opposed to it. Even the Queen herself has found a liking for the boy, considering how happy he seemed to make her.

She was also worried, however. Such a young boy, only twenty two years of age, was he serious about a marriage at such age? No one could deny the chemistry between the two of them, but was he ready to marry a woman with such a title?

One thing was for certain: Dawn did not care.

The Princess could not help to drift off to sleep, Colin Bridgerton being the last thing she thinks about. Only to wake up the following morning to think about him again. She thought this is how her parents wanted it for her. Despite knowing how marriage tends to work for royalty, there was nothing they wanted more than a love match for their dearest daughter, especially her mother. In the only time Dawn has managed to find the words and write to her mother to let her know she is safe, she also updated her on her current situation. And to say her mother was happy was not enough. Ever since she got the letter from her daughter, she could only smile, content that her precious daughter was experimenting one of the things she wished for her the most: love.

That same week, however, things at the Bridgerton house were slightly different.

"Are you aware of the amount of responsibility you want to take on ? And all of this for a... girl?" Anthony spoke to his younger brother, apparently not understanding what Colin meant when he said 'I wish to marry her'.

"I am aware brother, and she is not just a girl" he stated, letting himself fall on the chair in his brother's study "Have you ever met someone and knew you wanted to spend your life with them?"

"I am afraid that has not happened to me"

"It is like, when I wake up, she is the very last thing I think about, and when I am about to go to sleep, I just hope I will see her the next day, even just hear her voice" the younger Bridgerton admitted

"You have only known her for one week" Anthony declared, not entirely convinced of his brother decision

"Why are you so opposed to this brother? I believe the Princess Dawn of Prussia comes from a very respectable family, does she not?" Colin said, in attempt to convince him

"I will give you two weeks" the oldest brother spoke "two weeks to find out if you truly are in love, and if you truly want to marry the Princess, and she desires the same, I will support you"

The conversation was cut short, as Lady Violet Bridgerton made a rather dramatic entrance, holding a letter in her hand.

"The Queen, she invited us to tea at the castle tomorrow. Colin and I, tea with the Queen and Princess Dawn of Prussia, is this not fantastic?" the woman cheerfully said, a big smile appearing on her face

"It is mother" Anthony simply replied

"Is there anything wrong with your brother?" she asked Colin and he simply sighed before walking out of the place "Perfect, I am talking to myself"

"Pardon?" the blonde spoke as her brother nervously paced around her room "You did what?"

"I sent a letter to the Bridgertons, in name of our Aunt. I am sorry, I just wanted to help you see him again, with a little less people. I am sure Aunt Charlotte will not mind" he reassured, more to himself than to his sister

"Freddie you have to tell her. Otherwise how is she going to attend to a tea she does not even know she is hosting?" she said, looking up to see her brother, sweating nervous "I will tell her, I will say I wished to see him, and wanted her to meet him"

"How could I let you take the blame sister? I will take responsibility for my actions and..."

"You will not brother, besides, you know she never gets mad at me. She will just see this as a young girl in love, she cannot get mad, can she?"

"If she, for any reason, does get mad, you shall tell her the truth immediately, do you promise?"

"I promise brother. Now, I am off to do a bit of reading, I have not had the opportunity lately. Have a good night"

"Good night sister"
