Y/N's POV

My eyes cracked open to the obnoxiously loud sound of the alarm my mother made me set last night. I slowly sat myself and grabbed my phone to shut the alarm off. Geez, why did we have to wake up so early, our flight isn't for a couple more hours.

I swing my legs over my mattress and land on the gray, fluffy carpet that was spread across my hardwood floor. I stretched and walked over towards my desk chair where my outfit for the day was laid out.

I picked up the pile of clothes and trudged my way over to my bathroom to shower. I opened the door and walked in, being sure to lock the door behind me.

I looked in the mirror for a minute while I was laying out my clothes and towel. God I look like a hot mess. But I just woke up, so I guess it's fine.

I turned on the water and started getting undressed as the water heated up. Once it was ready I got in and started setting my hair and body.

⚠️Tw: Mention of SH⚠️

I looked down at my forearms with no emotion. The small pink scars scattered over them are a part of my past. I haven't done that in almost a year, shortly after I broke it off with him. I sighed loudly and continued doing what I was doing.

⚠️Tw over⚠️

I poured soap in my hair and started to lather it in. Once it was all the way in, I stuck my head under the shower head to clean everything out, rinse and repeat with my conditioner and body wash.

I got out of the shower and started to dry myself off when I heard a knock at the door. I didn't even have to ask to know who it was.

"Give me a minute Lucas, I'm getting dressed!" I announced while continuing to dry off my hair and body before changing.

I walked out of the bathroom, punching my brother's shoulder on the way out. "Don't take too long, we both have stuff to do in there."

Me and Lucas have always been close, considering we're twins. Having Luke was like having my own built in bestie. We still do practically everything together, despite the fact we're 21 now.

I walked back into my room and quickly went through my luggage, making sure I had everything for our trip back to our hometown down in North Carolina. Clothes, Toiletries, Shoes, Socks, Underwear. Okay, all good in there. And in my carry on: Chargers, my laptop, headphones, a snack, my water bottle, yep, everything is good there as well.

I stood back up and sat in my desk chair, scrolling through my phone to find something to do for the next 2 hours we had until we had to leave. I turned to my desktop and turned it on, deciding to just watch Youtube for the time being.

I scrolled through for a little before settling on a vine compilation. And not one of the crappy ones either, only top tier quality vines for me. I know I had probably seen these all 1 million times before, but it was still nice to go back to the classics every now and again.

I yawned. I don't know why mother always insisted on waking up so early for flights. I started to spin in my chair, wondering what do to cure my boredom while I'm waiting for us to leave.

Finally, it was almost time to go. I stood up and threw on one of my favorite oversized sweaters to keep me warm on the cold, foggy New York morning it was.

I carried out my luggage and the small backpack I picked as my carry on, placing the larger bag in the trunk of the car. I was so ready to sleep on the plane, you have no idea.

I put in headphones as I waited patiently for mom and Luke to come outside. I turned on my favorite playlist and started to quietly hum along to the music.

About 5 minutes later Mom and Lucas came outside and got in the car. I hopped in the back seat, letting Lucas have the front. I strapped myself in and stared idly out the window as my mom started driving towards the airport.

I hadn't been in North Carolina since we left like 6 or 7 years ago. I don't even know if everyone is there anymore, most of them probably moved away by now. I'm really hoping Karl or Sammy is still there, but it'd be better if it's both. Those two were my best friends since grade school, but I lost contact with them after we moved because I had to change my number to fit the area code.

I was snapped out of my train of thought as my mom pulled into the parking garage at the airport. I start to get my things together so we can get in as soon as possible. I hate parking garages, they're always so oddly cold, even if it's summer.

Once we got all of our bags, we started to walk inside. And as soon as I felt the gust of warm air the airport offered hit my face, I got unnecessarily excited.

North Carolina, here we come...back.

Also, I'm not gonna tell you everything about Y/N in the Author's note this time, y'all can figure it out yourselves. Anyway, vote, comment, and have a good day!
