A Tough Day for Quirklessness

Kacchan had just exploded my Heroes Analysis for the Future journal, threw it out the window and then told me to jump off a roof. After I had grabbed the journal, I had heard a voice, and some kid appeared behind me. I understood it was probably a quirk, but he caught me off guard.

"Who are you?" I asked. "You're in high school, aren't you? What are you doing here?" The boy looked at me, shocked.

"You can see me?" I nodded.

"I can hear you too; now, who are you and why are you on campus? Should I alert the pros?" I asked, thinking maybe he was looking for help. He sounded surprised he was able to be seen, so I thought maybe a quirk hit him and he needed help. But he shook his head, before he started to pass out and fall. I rushed over to help him, dropping my journal. When he fell, he slipped through my hands and faded away before he hit the ground. It caught me off guard; I felt the chill of air that hit my hands as he phased through. I stood there for a few seconds, thinking maybe the person had a quirk that made them like a ghost. After pondering the possibilities (which were high,) I picked up my journal, and continued walking my route home. When I reached a bridge, I saw that a slime villain was underneath it, in my way. He noticed me and rushed at me. I put my arms up in a defensive manner, despite it being useless.

Before he made impact, I heard a voice say, "Have no fear, you're safe. Now that I am here, that is." I knew that catchphrase; that's All Might's catchphrase! I felt air rush pass me, and the slime villain was destroyed.  I watched as All Might put the villain in a soda bottle. He then stood up and looked at me. "You were a big help, thank you. I've capture The evildoers."

"All Might! Can you please sign my notebook?" I quickly flipped to an open page and handed it to him, with a pen. He grabbed the pen and book, and signed his hero name with his face doodled. "Thank you so much! This will be an heirloom, a family treasure, back for generations to come!"

"Welp, I gotta take this guy to the police so they can take care of him. Stay out of trouble. See you around," All Might said, squatting to prepare to jump away.

"Wait, you're leaving? Already?" He nodded.

"Heroes are constantly fighting time as well as enemies." In a split second decision, I decided he can't go right then and there. So as he jumped off, I clung to his ankle like a koala. Next thing I knew, I was flying through the air, the air pressing against my face, forcing my mouth and eyes open. All Might looked down at me, probably feeling my weight, and immediately tried to shake me off. "Hey, hey, hey! What do you think you're doing? Let go. I love my fans but this is too much."

"No way! I'm flying. If I let go now, I'll die!" That made All Might stop shaking his leg.

"Thats a good point."

"I just have a lot of things I wanted to ask you personally. You're my all time favorite hero, All Might, please!"

"Ok, ok. I get it. Just keep your eyes and mouth shut." I shut my eyes and mouth as tightly as I could. When I felt All Might reach the ground, he picked me up. I still had my eyes and mouth shut tight. When I was placed on the ground, I fell to the floor.

"My whole life just flashed before my eyes," I said, looking back up at All Might.

"Not a very smart move. Bang on the door for a while, someone will let you in. Now I have to go, see you on the fifth side." Now I was being scolded for tagging along, but that was expected. He prepared to jump, but I was able to get him to listen somehow.

"Wait, not yet. One second!"

"I don't have that much time, kid." I looked at the ground.

"I have to know: Is it possible to become a hero even if I don't have a quirk? I'm a normal kid without any powers. Could I ever hope to be someone like you?"
