CHAPTER TWO

(Jimmy got out from his car and open the back seat's door for his two lovely girls to get out).

JIMMY: Come out girls we are home ( the kids comes out slowly from the car and without glancing at their father they got inside the house. Jimmy stare at their retreating back then follow suit. He met them sitting on the couch looking sad) what's wrong girls? (Looks confused from one to the other)

AVA:( the older girl snorted and said ) daddy a new girl was assigned to Lesley class. She had been a Bully to her ever since.

JIMMY:(turn slowly to Lesley who still look sad)
Honey is that true?. How long has she been bad to you ?.

LESLEY:for a week now daddy. I I don't want to go to that school again until i have a new mommy (determination showing on her face)

JIMMY:(look more confused) what do you mean by new mommy?

AVA: the new Bully girl always show off her beautiful mom.

LESLEY:she said i Will never have a pretty mom like hers.

JIMMY:(sign and bow his head as he understood what has make his girls so sad . He , at that moment think of what to say to calm them down) Lesley baby ( he called softly as he look up at them . He walks towards them getting on his knees in front of them to take each of their hand). Ava you girls have to be strong. I always warn you about bullies right?

AVA: yeah daddy.

LESLEY:you do.

JIMMY:you just have to ignore her , you girls have to focus on your studies and make sure nobody influence you badly.

LESLEY: we know all that Daddy. All I want is just mummy

JIMMY: Lesley about that you ...(his phone rang at the moment.he glance at his daughters ) this conversation will continue (and with that he goes off to answer the call).

LESLEY: I must get a new mummy

(At night lyanna was in her living room reading a novel when she heard a knock at her door. She put down the book she was reading and walk to the door).

LYANNA:hey Jimmy (she smiles when she saw him at her doorstep) do come in( she open the door wider and Jimmy get in slowly).

JIMMY: I'm sorry to bother you tonight but...

LYANNA:(cut in quickly) it's okay. Have a seat . I hope the girls are fine?

JIMMY: (sat down and watch as lyanna lower herself in a sofa as well). They are good. I just tuck them to bed.

LYANNA:( nodding slowly) okay ( then an awkward silence spread between them for some time)

JIMMY:uhm... I just wanted to ask you for a favour.

LYANNA: oh really? ( become more serious) what's that ?

JIMMY: I got a call from work, my partner actually. He said he won't be coming to work for two days and that makes me...

LYANNA: you will stay over at work to do his job ( cutting him gently)

JIMMY: yeah and I want my kids to be with you ( he look so tired and innocent that lyanna has to chuckled).

LYANNA: what can I say .( Breath in deeply then sign) I'm grateful you trust me enough to leave your kids with me but I got to visit my mom this weekend and I hope you won't mind if I take them with me?.

JIMMY: not at all. When will you get back from your mom's?

LYANNA: well ,I'm planning on using two days.

JIMMY: sounds good. I will be off for two days as well so when I get back you all will be here as well.

LYANNA: okay Jimmy. I will surely take care of them.

JIMMY: I know you will and thanks ( get on his feet) I will arrange for them what they will need at your mom's.

LYANNA:you do that ( she stood up also)

JIMMY: I will take my leave and thanks again.

LYANNA: don't mention ( Jimmy walks towards the door and stood for a moment wanting and wishing to stay longer but he didn't. He open the door and step out then close the door behind him. He walk briskly to his apartment then glance back at lyanna's home)

JIMMY: I'm a fool to have think she loves me as I do love her . She's just a good kind hearted woman. She must have better man .
