Wreckage

CHAPTER SIX

( Harry pull the car into beauty street and Jimmy dash out and was struck with horror to see the once beautiful street ripped off. Harry quickly got out as well)
HARRY: calm down Jimmy. Help is here and I'm sure your kids will be fine

JIMMY: my kids ? What about lyanna and her mum ( he ask urgently) would she be alright?
Oh God! ( He exclaimed tiredly) if she dies I won't forgive myself for not telling her how I feel for her.

HARRY: Jimmy look at me ( place his hand soothingly on his shoulder) lyanna will be fine and and so will your kids. You don't worry much .

( In the tunnel . Thy have been walking for a while and soon got tired )
LYANNA: ( glance at Ava . She stop And kneel to face her ) how are you feeling?

AVA: tired and scared

LYANNA: should we take a break ?

AVA: yes aunty lyanna. I'm tired ( the rest halted as they noticed lyanna and the kids not moving)

DENNIS: let's go ( he blurted out disgustingly) we don't have all day

LYANNA: the girl is tired and we could all use some rest

DENNIS: well we can't ( he returned coldly ) we have to keep moving

LYANNA: ( look squarely at him ) then go on your way

DENNIS: fine ( he sat down irritably)

LYANNA: ( sat down besides Ava . She turn to the girls who also sat down close to her ) Lesley , Ava ( she call silently) I don't know if I'm going to survive this but I'm very sure you will . When you get out there ( she slow down considering her words ) tell your dad I love him and ... ( She was interrupted by Kenneth)

KENNETH: the pipe won't have bursted . Would it ?
( He ask no one in particular)

DENNIS: what pipe ?( he ask anxiously)

CAROL: ( she answered instead and her face shows fear ) God! ... The pipe from the chimney

LYANNA: what do you mean mum?

CAROL: if the water is running right now that means the pipe has been bursted. ( They all got  silent , listening to every sounds then they heard the sound of running water)

DENNIS: (Get on his feet slowly ) and what if the pipe has burst ?

KENNETH: ( get on his feet as well ) There will be no other way out . The water would block every other way we had .

LYANNA: let's go ... ( They get up quickly and started walking fast ...and along the way Ava collapse. they halted suddenly)
Ava? ( Peep at her face ) Ava ? ( The girl come around but now she has no strength to continue) she  is exhausted ( she said quietly... Tears threatening to fall)

DENNIS: we have to leave her

LYANNA: ( glance up and regards him with hatred) you shut your damn mouth

CAROL: I will carry her ( she quickly pick her up )

LYANNA: mum you don't have the strength

CAROL: don't worry. I will manage ( so they continue and again they got to a stage where four path is revealed)

KENNETH: one lead to the old chimney. We need to make the right decision

DENNIS: I think we should take  the left path

LESLEY: no ! ( She snorted quickly) my daddy advise us to take the right path always

DENNIS: ( turn and frown at Lesley) your dad isn't here little girl and so I say we go the left way
