"Is she the one?" Alpha asked his Beta as he caressed the cheek of the innocent child in front of them.

"Yes, our only ticket to the West Woods."

"Please, don't." The father pleaded but the young alpha just smirked.
He looked at the child intensely and the sudden skipped of his heartbeat made him froze for a moment. It was the blissful feeling he's been longing for, yet the feeling he couldn't fathom at all. The pain and sorrow faded away like the ash of the wolf when they die.
"What happened?" the Gamma asked.

He couldn't answer the question directly, but he knew that one thing is for sure.

"She's yours until she's seventeen, take care of her and never let anyone hurt her. Protect her at all costs, even if you have to sacrifice your life. When she turns eighteen, come back here and I'll make her my queen." All the eyes in the room widened at what he said to the father of the child.

"That child is his mate?" Murmurs filled the room.

"The daughter of a mere human, is the alpha's mate?"

"We must find another offer."

The pack warriors left the room leaving the Alpha, Beta, and the father of the innocent gorgeous child.

"I'll send her to the city when she turns nine and gets her back when she's eighteen so that she can enjoy her life," the father suggested but the young alpha raised his eyebrows like he didn't like the idea.

"Send her to somewhere I know so that I can also watch her grow up." Those were the last words of the alpha before he left.
