Intertwined: Our fates and hearts

Life is never simple!

"Hinata, come here and see this," I was proud to have made a perfect sunny side up for her finally. She came running in.

"What happened Naruto?"

"Look at this. I told you I will do it, didn't I?"

"Ohh my god, that's perfect."

We ate breakfast and then decided to watch a movie together. It had been almost a month since Hinata and I had started dating. It was also the end of her winter break. We had been at each other's place constantly for past few weeks. Loving Hinata and spending time with her was the best thing that happened to me. However I still hadn't been able to tell her that I am the CEO of Namikaze Industry. Maybe I was afraid somewhere, maybe I was stalling. However she goes back to University tomorrow. Hence I had decided to make Hinata meet my friends. I had organised a dinner party at a near by restaurant and Hinata was more than happy to meet my friends.

After spending all day in each other's arms, we both got ready. I wore a lavender satin shirt with black pants that Hinata had picked it out for me while she wore an orange strapless dress which I had picked out for her. We reached the restaurant a little late and almost everyone was there.

"Hey guys sorry we got a little late."

"That's okay Naruto," said Gaara.

"Everyone, meet Hinata, my girlfriend, she is the special one I wanted all of you to meet. And Hinata, these are my closest friends from school time."

Everyone said hi to Hinata and she said Hi back.

"This is Gaara, his siblings, Temari and Kankuro"

"Ohh I know her, she is in my class at the university, nice I have a new friend now," exclaimed Kankuro.

"Ohh yes, it is nice to meet you," Hinata said giggling.

"This is Lee, Tenten, you have already met Sakura. This is Sai, Ino, choji and my best friends Shikamaru and Sasuke."

"It is really nice to meet you all," Hinata said smiling. Then she looked at me as if asking about Sasuke and Sakura, I indicated it to her that I will tell her later. We all sat together having dinner where we got to know that Hinata's two best friends from back in school, Kiba and Shino are actually family friends of Shikamaru. It was nice to see how we all knew each other and how we all connected. For me Hinata becoming a part of the group was as important and I could see that she will. The girls were all talking to her and making her feel comfortable and the guys also all liked her for me.

"This evening, to Naruto and our newest friend and member of the gang, Hinata," cheered Lee. We all drank our wines. The night came to an end and everyone took their leave. Hinata and I were going to stay at our own places today and not with each other as we both had to go out in the morning. I walked her to her place.

"Isn't it awkward between Sasuke and Sakura?"

"It was quite awkward for quite sometime. They both use to avoid each other's presence. But I feel they are both moving ahead."

"Okay, I mean if we ever breakup, I don't think I will be able to see your face without crying."

"Then we never break up, its as simple as that."

I blushed on what I had said. But I genuinely meant it. Why will I want to leave Hinata anyway. I asked if she has talked to her father about not meeting guys and she said her father still didn't return her calls and it was frustrating. I came up to her apartment to leave her there. I then hugged her and gave her a good night kiss, kissed on her forehead and headed back home.

This entire situation of Hinata's father had been making her anxious and even though I didn't admit it, it was sort of making me anxious too. His father had not talked to her over the entire winter break. I walked home and decided to call Jiraya to take his advice.

"Hey old man."

"Naruto, my boy. How are you? You sound anxious."

"Me? anxious? How did you know?"

"You didn't call me Pervy old man."

"Ohh, I guess you are right. I have been anxious a bit."

I explained the situation to Jiraya and he told me to wait it out. That was the best thing to do. I guess he was right. No good will come with me worrying about it prior to it happening.

Going back to work was boring, all I thought about all day was what should I do next with Hinata, when will I see her next, what will she be wearing. However work was as important and I had to focus.

I kept thinking about the entire situation when I received a call from an unknown number directly on my mobile phone. I generally don't give out my number to anyone and all the official calls are first attended by my secretary, so this was sort of shocking.

"Hello?"

There was just silence.

"Hello? Who's this? Please answer?"

"Naruto Uzumaki."

"Yes? Tell me who this is?"

"We know who you are. We know you own Namikaze Industry."

I was stunned. Then I calmed myself, maybe this was a prank call from one of my friends.

"If you want to live a normal life, give us 10 million Yen by the end of this month. Otherwise people you love will be hurt, specially Hinata Hyuga."

I was shocked. Whoever this was they knew about Hinata. At this moment I was really starting to panic. But I decided not to sound that way and just calmly tell this person to back off.

"I am sorry, you must have a misunderstanding. May I please know who this is?"

"We will send you details and we are giving you enough time to think and act. But go to the police and everyone around you dies."

"Please tell me who this is? This joke is not funny anymore."

"Akatsuki."

The line went out after that. I had heard of this organisation, they were a group of troublemakers who extorted money from the rich. There had been many cases in the past. The police had not been able to catch them and it had been months of their notorious activities.

I was scared because they knew Hinata's name. How could they? Were we being followed every time we went out? Or everytime we went to Ichiraku? Firstly Hinata had her own problem with her father to deal with and on top of that she had no idea I was the owner of Namikaze Industry. I couldn't tell her about this worry, could I?

Apart from all this, I felt money extortion was wrong and I cannot give into their demands. What if they start asking for money again and again. I had to get police involved but before that I knew only Gaara could understand the situation. He had connections within the government bodies, he was friends with the mayor and he was a person in power as well. I decided to ask him for help before going to the police.

When I called him, his first advice was to get a bodyguard for both me and Hinata and then tell her what was going on. Secondly to check all the phones are free of tapping and thirdly we get police involved after getting more details from Akatsuki. I anyway called up Hinata to check if she was okay.

"Hinata, are you fine? Where are you?"

"Hi, I am just walking home, I had to get some groceries."

"Can you take a bus or something?"

"Is everything alright?"

"Yes yes, I was leaving work so I thought I will come directly see you so bus would be faster. Or you could tell me which grocery store you are going to, I will pick you up from there."

"Shun supermarket, near university, come pick me up, it's going to take a little while."

"Okay love."

I was glad she was okay. I had to do this talk at some point. Don't know when. I immediately dropped everything I was doing, and went to the supermarket to directly pick her up. I was not going to leave her alone, specially not tonight.
