Chapter 4

MICHAEL'S POV
The doctor came in with a curious look across her face. Her dark, dirty blonde hair worked perfectly with her tanned skin. Hair brown eyes very much like Jessica's.
She continuously looked at her clipboard.
"So. Miss Grace. How did you end up with such straight cuts on your wrist?"
The doctor finally looked at Jess, and froze. Like, completely froze.
"J-jess. Is that you?"
"Ugh. Yes my name is Jess, but am I supposed to recognise you, cos you don't seem familiar to me."
The doctor seemed heart broken by the words that Jess had previously said. Her glum look made me feel as if there was something that Jess didn't know. Still confused, Jess was attempting to figure out why the doctor would have said such an odd thing.
"Well... Umm... So how did you get those cuts on your skin?" She asked, brushing off the expression.
I immediately took the initiative to speak for the very stumped girl sitting on the bed.
"I am pretty sure that she fell and a rock scraped a clean cut on her skin." I said.
"Well, I can tell you are lying Mr... Mr..."
"Clifford. Mr Clifford." I said with a James bond tone.
"Well, Mr Clifford, those cuts have definitely not been cut with a rock as there is no dirt in the skin. Mr Clifford. Miss Grace. I am afraid that there is something that you haven't told me." She said in a stubborn manner
"Not unless you have something to tell us first doctor." Jess said back.
"I always knew that you had my stubbornness in you Jess." The doctor soothenly said.
This both gave Jess and I a surprise attack. What is she talking about? Why would she be talking so sweetly to Jess. Unless...
"M-mum??" Jess stuttered
"Yes, it is me, Jess. It is actually me." She replied, arms open wide.
"B-but I t-thought you were d-dead"
"No dear, that was a lie."
"H-how could you?" Jess said coldly.
"Its just that-"
"Just what MUM!!! JUST WHAT?!! YOU JUST FAKED YOUR OWN DEATH ALL THOSE YEARS AGO. IT GAVE ME SO MUCH PAIN TO GO THROUGH SEEING YOU GET "YOUR" BODY BURRIED. ALL THESE YEARS MUM. ALL THESE YEARS." Jess broke down, tears flowing rapidly.
"Ugh, Jess do you wanna go now. I already got you checked out of here." I calmly said.
"Yes lets. And mum, I cut myself . Yes, I cut. But I guess you don't care about that either." Jess spat.
With that said, Jess and I walked swiftly out of the hospital.

JESSICA'S POV
"I don't get it Michael, why would she do this to me?" I said sobbing through the car trip.
"uhh, I don't know Jess. I think she had a reason to do so I guess. So do you want to go to the house for a while?" Michael said, trying to maintain eye contact on the road.
"Yeah, lets just go back to mine first to get some supplies." I said.
After that very quick conversation, the rest of the 10 minute drive was like a ghost town. We quickly arrived at my house. It was in silence, watching me at every corner.
"Uh, Mikey. You can make some popcorn and stay in the lounge room if you want." I said.
I swiftly moved towards the easily recognisable room I sleep in. I pack enough clothes for a week. In a smaller bag, I place in make-up and toiletries. I then move towards my desk and pack my laptop, chargers and put the phone in my pocket.
Once we made it to the boys house, I was in in awe.
"OMFG. Mikey. This is such an amazing house." I said.
"Yeah, So you wanna go play FIFA with me?"
"Sure Pizza Boy." I said. Rolling my eyes.
As we passed the lounge room, the boys keen eyes looked at me. Their faces went completely from a frown to a big grin. I turned back towards Michael to see him attempting to usher me towards the game room.
"Ok, jess. Your room is in between mine and Calum's room and has a 'J' on it, you have an ensuite and walk in robe so yeah. And you can follow me to play Fifa in the game room. Other wise known as my room."
I chuckled at what Michael had said. Of course he'd have the game room as his room.
