dragged down to hell

May 16th, 1944

"It's going to be okay, it's going to be fine Rosier." He whispered quickly, ripping his sleeves and using them to try and absorb some the the blood that was soaking through her shirt from the wound in her chest.

"Didn't...know...we were...on a...last name basis...again...Riddle." She coughed out, wearing a ghost of a smile on her face despite practically being able to touch the depths of hell.

"Celine, it's going to be okay..." He murmured, placing a hand in her hair and staring down at her as her face continued to pale, and her breathing shallowed, blood splattered around the pair.

"I always...hated liars...Tom...." Celine choked, and she gave out a sob.

"Don't cry." He said, stroking her hair, and Celine's ghost of a smile now disappearing as she struggled to breathe. "Stay with me Rosier, please stay with me! Don't go! I...I can't let you go!" He whispered in frustration, tears falling down his face as he began to see the light leave her eyes.

"You look...perfect. You look so...radiant...my love." She sighed, and gave her a final angelic smile before her eyes went dull, her chest stopped heaving, and the angels finally pushed her down to the depths of hell to join the sinful demons.

"Celine? No...no!" He screamed out, his face buried into her unmoving chest, muffling his sobs as his hair began to become soaked in her blood. Her cold fingers were still entwined with his, the final promise of never letting go being fulfilled.

The dagger lay to the side, and the waves continued to crash against the shore, carrying on as if nothing occurred.

She'd taken the blow.

For him.

He hadn't believed her when three months prior she had told him she'd sacrifice herself to save him.

He thought it only words, and that nobody would sacrifice themselves, but Tom should known better from his angel.

She had told him she'd bleed herself dry for him.

And she had.
