"What's going on?", I said as I rubbed my eyes. I looked up and I realized it was Todoroki.

"C'mon, there's something I want to show.", he replied. He lead me to the roof of the school. The view was gorgeous: the stars were out, all the city lights sparkled, and the moon was full.

"Wow! This is incredible!", I exclaimed. We sat together near the edge. He pulled out a bag.

"I know you didn't come to dinner, so I brought some strawberry ice cream.", he said as he passed me a spoon and a pint of ice cream.

"Thanks! That's very thoughtful of you.", I said with a mouthful. He chuckled as he took a bite. I blushed a bit. I kept looking at the stars as I ate my late night snack. I used to sneak out of the Professor's penthouse and watch the stars with a telescope she had in her storage room. I was crazy about astronomy when I was 12, but it was a phase. Still, I'm fascinated by the amazing night sky and the stars within it. Todoroki looked at me every now and then. Sometimes we would lock eyes for a moment, causing us to laugh.

"You really like looking up there, huh?", he asked.

"Yeah, I know all the constellations and the positions of the planets. Is that weird?", I asked.

"No, not at all. I think that's interesting. Could you show me where Gemini is?", he said. I pointed to the middle of the sky.

"Gemini is there in the middle, and Leo is under it right there with Ursa Major above it.", I showed him. He scooted closer to me as I showed him the constellations, his odd eyes glittering in the moon light. We stayed up until 2 am, but I was starting to get sleepy.

"I think I'm gonna turn in for the night.", I said while yawning.

"Before you leave, I wanted to give you one more thing.", he said. He used his ice and fire to create an ice rose like the one from the other day.

"Wait. You made this? It's beautiful!", I said.

"I wanted to apologize for injuring you and for my attitude today. I couldn't stop thinking about what I did.", he said sincerely.

"That's really sweet, Todoroki! Thank you for the gifts and I accept your apology.", I said as I hugged him. He embraced me gently. It felt comforting. After that, he walked me back to my dorm.

"Well, thank you for the treat. I really enjoyed our time together.", I whispered.

"I did, too. Get some rest, Moeru.", he whispered back. He leaned in close and kissed me on the cheek. I felt myself melting on the inside. He smiled softly at me and left. I got into bed feeling my heart race and my cheeks burning. I fell asleep with a smile on my face.

The next morning, I got up before my alarm went off. I quickly grabbed my phone, earbuds, and my running shoes and left. I was in a great mood! I was looping and twirling in the air, so my wings got a good stretch. An hour later, I washed up and got dressed. I walked to class with a pep in my step.

"Good morning, Moeru! You look happy.", Iida said as he approached me.

"Yep! I feel GREAT!", I replied with two thumbs up.

"I'm glad you're feeling good. I brought some juice for the both of us", he said passing me a can. I took a sip.

"Hopefully training will be fun today!", I said turning my walk into a skip.

"Wow, I've never seen you this happy before, Moeru. What's gotten into you?", he asked. My stomach dropped. All of a sudden I felt somewhat guilty.

"N-Nothing! I just woke in a good m-mood!", I stuttered.

"Are you sure you're alright, Moeru? You sound uncertain.", he said.

"Nope! All good!", I said as I skipped ahead of him. Why do I feel bad now? I questioned myself for a while. Do I feel bad for him? Did I betray him? We're not even close like that, so why do I fee this way? When I entered the classroom, Todoroki was already there. He smiled and waved at me. I waved back and took my seat. I pulled out my book I borrowed from Iida, but then started to feel worse. I immediately shut the book and laid my head down on the desktop.

"Moeru, what's wrong?", Uraraka said patting my back.

"Nothing, just tired.", I lied.

"Why were you not sitting with us yesterday?", she asked. That made me more upset.

"I had something else to do. I'm sorry I missed out.", I replied.

"It's ok. You're still gonna go to the sleepover Saturday, right?"

"Yep. Wouldn't miss it for the world.", I said.

The rest of the day was a drag. Training was boring. I skipped lunch. The day finally ended and I crashed on my bed and made a depressing sound. I heard a knock on my door.

"Go away.", I said. They knocked again. "I said go away.", I repeated. Still they kept knocking. I yanked open the door. "Do you not know that-", I said but I stopped when I seen Iida.

"Moeru, why are you so upset? You've been acting strange today.", he asked.

"It's nothing, Iida. Just leave me alone, please.", I said as I sat on my bed.

"Are you sure you don't want me to tutor you today?", he said.

"Please just leave.", I said louder.

"Moeru I-", he tried to say but I cut him off.

"Iida, please stop! The only reason I wanted you to tutor me was because I wanted to spend more time with you!", I confessed as I buried myself under my blankets.

It was quiet for a moment. "I-I don't know what to say.", he said.

"If you want to hate me for lying to you, go ahead. You have all rights to do that.", I said shamefully.

"Moeru, I'm not mad.", he replied as he sat beside me.

"Y-You're not?"

"No, I'm honored. If it's a friend that you need, then it's my duty as class rep and as your friend to be there for you.", he told me. I uncovered myself from the blankets and looked at him.

"So you're not going to stop talking to me and unfriend me?", I asked.

"Of course not! You're an awesome person, Moeru! I wouldn't want to stop being your friend.", he said smiling. I immediately embraced him tightly.

"Thank you.", I said. I cried a little bit. He picked up my chin with his hand. We looked deeply into each others' eyes. He thumbed away the tears on my cheek gently. I smiled and blushed. He smiled back with a rosy tint on his cheeks. We both started laughing due to the awkward mood. After that, he left to go work on his homework while I studied my Literature study guide. The rest of the week zoomed by quickly, but I didn't know that what would go down that weekend would change my life forever.
