Monday November 3rd 6:30am.

Kageyama waited for Hinata at their usual bus stop. Ever since he was forced to become a duo with Hinata, they became...friends..In a way? And had started to walk to school with each other. Though it looked like Kageyama still very much disliked Hinata, he actually really liked him. A lot. He hated seeming weak, so there he was, treating Hinata like shit. No shocker there.

"Kageyama!"

"Hm? What?"

Kageyama snapped out of his thoughts when Hinata ran up to him, waving with his usual happy smile. Though it looked forced. Kageyama couldn't help but blush. He was like a tiny ball of sunshine. "You zoned out again, Bakayama!" Hinata giggled. He glared at Hinata. "Boke." He snapped back at him. "Pfft I bet you I can beat you to the school." Hinata sneered cheekily. "Tch," Kageyama rolled his eyes, stuffing his hands in his hoodie pocket and turning on his heels. He paused, staring wide eyed as a blur of orange zipped past him. "Ohoho you're gonna get it!" Kageyama raced after him, catching up quite quickly. Hinata was slower than usual. Kageyama passed him, making it to school with Hinata following slowly behind, panting. "Oi, Boke, your slower than usual." He observed, eyeing Hinata up and down. "I  just woke up an hour ago!" Hinata protested. "I want a rematch!" He demanded, balling his hands to fists. "Tch." Kageyama turned on his heels and strutted to the gym. "Don't click your tongue at me!" Hinata said loudly, matching his pace with Kageyama's. "Shut up, Boke."

They argued back and forth, as usual. "Aye! Shut it you two!" Suga said from behind them. They stopped. "Sorry Su-" Kageyama stumbled backwards when Hinata jumped in front of him, protesting to Suga about their 'Unfair match'. "It was very fair Boke! You got a head start anyway!" Kageyama grabbed his jacket and held him down. "H-hey let me go!" Was that fear in his voice? Kageyama let go of him immediately. "Dumbass." Kageyama muttered, turning and walking into the gym.

"Kags set for me!" Hinata ran up to Kageyama, holding out a ball to him. Kageyama rolled his eyes. "Fine. But actually hit it this time. You've been missing them lately." Kageyama struggled not to let the sound of concern seep into his voice. "I'll make this one count!" Hinata tugged Kageyama's shirt and ran a bit away. "Suga, toss for us?" Suga nodded and grabbed the ball from Kageyama. "Ready?" They both nodded. Suga tossed the ball to Kageyama. He rasied his hands, keeping one eye on the ball and another fixed on Hinata. As soon as Hinata jumped, Kageyama stared where his palm was and targeted where to set the ball. There! With a small grunt, he set the ball. It fell into Hinata's hand perfectly. WHAM! Hinata hit the ball in a fast spike, landing with heaving breaths. "Yes!" They yelled in triumph. "You've really gotten good at your quicks." Suga observed, smiling. "My little crows." Hinata ran up to Suga and hugged him. Kageyama rolled his eyes. Stupid. Adorable. Clingy..I need him!  He thought bleakly, forcing his blush behind a glare. "I'm taking a small break." Kageyama annoucned, strutting towards the bench. He drank his water bottle, eyeing Hinata. Kageyama almost choked on his water when Hinata hugged him, his head resting on his chest. Kageyama blushed like hell. "O-oi! Boke!" Was all he could say. "You really are amazing, Kageyama." Hinata's voice was muffled in Kageyama's shirt. He looked up at Kageyama, smiling. Was he crying? Kageyama searched for Suga. No where in sight. Must've went to the bathroom. Slowly, Kageyama placed a finger under Hinata's chin and nuzzled Hinata's nose with his own before pulling away. "Let's clean up the balls and get changed so we are ready for when the team arrives."

"SHOYOOOOOO!" Nishinoya ran up to Hinata and bounced up and down. For a second year, he acted like a kindergartener. "Hi Noya." If Kageyama didn't know better, Hinata seemed less lively than this morning. Kageyama struggled not to grab him and ask him what was wrong. He glared at Hinata and Nishinoya. "You feeling alright, Hinata?" Suga shoved Noya away and rested a hand on Hinata's cheek. Kageyama went stiff with jealousy. He clutched the ball as Hinata looked down. "Hinata your burning up." Suga mumbled. "I'm sending you home." Suga said, brushing a thumb over Hinata's nose. Hinata froze. "N-n-no I'm okay!" Hinata said quickly, zipping towards Kageyama and hiding behind his back. "Hinata..." Kageyama turned to him and rested his hands on Hinata's shoulders. "C'mom. I'll take you to my place instead." Hinata looked up at Kageyama and hugged him again. "Oi..Boke..what's with the hugging?" Kageyama slowly wrapped his arms around him, rubbing his back. Hinata shook his head and stuffed his face in Kageyama's stomach. "oOoOoo Do I smell a ship?" Tanaka teased loudly. "N-no!" Kageyama pulled away from Hinata.

Kageyama led Hinata up his drive way. "I'm staying with you today." Kageyama announced as he unlocked his house door. Hinata walked in first. "Are you sure?" Hinata said weakly. "I'm sure." Kageyama felt his forehead. "Oh damn...you are burning up." Kageyama mumbled. "C'mon, I'll let you have my bed," Kageyama rubbed Hinata's back and led him to his room. Hinata instantly took his shirt and pants off, leaving him in his boxers. Kageyama blushed and looked away. "You want Ramen?" Kageyama said after Hinata got in his bed. "No... I lost my appitite." Kageyama looked Hinata up and down. He looked underweight. He sighed and shrugged. "Alright."

Hinata pulled the sheet over him and rolled on his side. His soft snoring told Kageyama he was asleep. Kageyama watched Hinata for a while, thinking. What was going on at home for Hinata? Part of him wanted to ask but the other didn't wanna invade his privacy. Kageyama lay beside the bed, rolling onto his back.  "Mmmmm Kags?" Hinata had rolled over, gazing down at Kageyama. "Hm?" Kageyama looked up at him. "Come up here with me. You look uncomfortable." Kageyama looked at Hinata a bit longer before nodding, getting up and crawling in bed next to him. Kageyama pulled the sheet over himself and took his shirt off. Hinata, probably alseep, snuggled up to Kageyama, resting his head on his chest. He knew Hinata was being strong. For him and the team. Hinata was small, but he was mighty.
