"I can't wait to be a proud papaya."
Max sarcastically laughed as she heard that. "You're so funny, dad. Ha . . . ha . . . ha."
The two adults looked at each other and then at Max. They noticed her appearance and put questioning looks on their faces. They inspected her while she was coming down the stairs.
She was still in her pajamas which included a Pink Floyd t-shirt, black gym shorts, and blue fluffy socks with llamas on them. And then to put the cherry on top, she had a grey blanket wrapped around her body and it covered her head so they couldn't see her hair.
"Max, aren't you supposed to be in school right now?" Vision asked.
She simply nodded and made her way towards the kitchen. Vision put his hands on his hips and made his way towards the kitchen with Wanda trailing behind, (but not before turning into his original form).
"Well then why aren't you in school?" He asked, "I don't remember your mother and I giving you permission to stay home."
"You don't remember last night?" Max asked while grabbing a bowl from one of the cabinets.
Vision sighed as walked towards the counter and placed one hand on it. "Yes, and I remember me vividly saying, "No, I'm not letting you stay home from school just because you beat me at rock, paper, scissors, Maxine.". So, what are you doing here?"
Max rubbed her eyes as she mumbled something under her breath.
"I'm sorry, can you please repeat that?" Vision asked.
Instead of Max having to repeat that, Wanda suddenly realised what was happening and stopped peeling oranges, then rushed to Vision. "Vis, sweetheart, let me have a little chat with Max for a second, please?"
Vision hummed and nodded.
Once Vision was out of the kitchen, Wanda went besides Max and held her face in her hands, "Maxine, your period aren't you?"
Max closed her eyes and nodded.
Wanda softly smiled at the girl and brought her into a warm hug, her belly only getting slightly in the way.
