❛ can't stand my reflection,
damn, no one gets it. ❜eight. BREAKING THE FOURTH
WALL
Max woke up with a large headache as she slightly opened her eyes.
Her blue irises saw the pure white ceiling of her regular sized bedroom. Max suddenly remembered the events of last night and groaned.
She rubbed her head with both hands and sighed.
The door suddenly bursted open and in came the twins, both with worried faces.
"Love how nobody asks to come in any more." She grumbled. "What do you guys need?"
"Somethings up with mom, Max." Tommy said. "She's acting . . . different."
Max laughed. "And what do you want me to do about it?"
The twins looked at each other and shrugged. First their mom acting weird and now Max was acting like she didn't even care about her.
Maxine sighed and took off the blankets from her body. She sat up on her bed and rubbed her eyes. "Are you guys hungry?"
They shook their heads.
"Is someone trying to break into the house?"
They shook their heads.
"Did you set the house on fire?"
They shook their heads.
"Then I don't see why you need me. She's your mom and if she can't do the bare minimum for you then oh well."
The boys sadly looked down at their shoes and walked out of the room.
Max will admit that she did feel a little bit bad. But she was speaking the truth, if Wanda wasn't there for her kids, what would Max be able to do about it?
Most of the morning, Max stayed up in her room avoiding the three family members who were around the house.
The guilt of leaving Vision was catching up to her as she laid in her bed watching TV.
