Forever

Chapter 7- Cold Nights

      "What's up?" Fred asked as I sat down on the couch.
      "Um," I blanked for a moment, "I just want to clarify what is happening here."
      "What do you mean?" He asked, sitting down with me.
      I pursed my lips, "Earlier, we told each other that we like one another, and then we..."
      "Snogged?" He said.
      I nodded, "Yeah, sure, anyways, and then we went to dinner and we both said different things."
      "What are you saying?" He asked, looking into my eyes.
      I put my hands up, "Are we actually dating? Or is this a play and we're the lead roles?"
      He set his head in his hand, "I thought that we are actually dating, but, if that's not what you want, we can talk about it."
      I partially smiled, "No, I just wanted to confirm things before I got confused."
      He smiled, "So were dating." He said it like a statement versus a question.
      I nodded, "Yeah, that's okay with you?"
      "Heck yes that's okay with me." He rearranged himself on the couch, "I've only been waiting for this since I first met you."
      I softly chuckled. He leaned into me but I stopped him before he could do anything else, "I need to go talk to somebody."
      "Okay." He whispered. We stood up, "Goodnight, Darling."
      "Goodnight." I walked around the couch and started my way upstairs.
      I stepped into my dorm. Ginny was sitting in her bed, and Hermione sitting next to her.
      "Ginny?" I said quietly.
      Hermione stood up, "I'll go. I'll be right downstairs."
      I sat down next to Ginny as Hermione left.
      "Ginny, I want to talk about... About your brother and I."
      "How long?" She asked.
      "Since study hall, I swear." I told her.
      She looked at me, "Really?"
      "Yes." I said.
      "Oh." She looked away again.
      "Ginny, please know that you can tell me anything. If you want to express your feelings, go ahead." I rubbed her back.
      "I think that I just need time to process this." She said.
      I nodded, "Okay, anything else?"
      "Yeah. You snogged my brother, and I don't really want to see or talk to you right now. Or for a while."
      "Alright." I stood up, "Your wish is my command."
      I grabbed my pillow off my bed, and reached under the mattress for one of my extra blankets. I walked to the stairs.
      "Goodnight, Ginny." I said softly.
      I walked down the stairs, "So?" Hermione said.
      "You can go up there." I told her.
      She stood up and ran upstairs. I walked to the couch and set the pillow down. I laid the blanket across the cushions and laid myself down.
      I put my body under the covers and closed my eyes.
      Tomorrow is a new day.
