the speaker crackled, the noise startling dream awake, causing him to jump and fall onto his side from his previous position of curled in a ball with his back pressed against the wall.
groggily, the man stood up and slumped to the button, trying to rub the sleep out of his eyes.
"i suppose people just cant take their eyes off me for too long."
dream yawned, adjusting the mask on his face to cover his mouth when he finished, rubbing away some drool on the corner of his mouth
"sure dream. im sending them over."
"got it, sir sam."
too tired to form any coherent thoughts on who would be visiting him, he leaned heavily against the wall, closing his eyes.
"you look like shit."
"werent you just here?"
dream lazily opened his eyes, meeting dark brown ones that were devoid of any emotion.
"miss me too much huh?"
"cut the shit dream."
sapnap narrowed his eyes while dream closed his again.
"'cause ive missed you sap."
his voice was small and shy, almost like it was a confession hed been hiding,
"no you havent, youre just upset youre stuck in this stuffy ass cell by yourself."
"thats not true."
"youre just upset- upset that- that sam is the only person you get to talk to on a daily basis."
sapnap spoke through gritted teeth, his eyes dropping from dream to look at the floor. he was desperately trying to convince himself that dream was lying. thats what he does, he lies.
dream silenced himself, figuring sapnap just needed to talk, to vent in his own way.
"you dont care. you dont do you? but then why are you everywhere?"
