chapter 2👴

y/n pov

          i woke up in Karls bed, he was nowhere to be seen so i decided to get up and go to the kitchen. before walking downstairs i went to my room and changed into a large tshirt that i'm pretty sure was one of karls, and a pair of baggy sweats.
          i went down to the kitchen to see Karl cooking breakfast, he wasn't wearing a shirt and his hair was messy and wet so i assumed he took a shower before i got up. he looked back and saw me,
"good morning y/n, is that my shirt?" he questioned
"uh yeah i think so, sorry" you said back while walking over to help make breakfast, he wasn't a very good cook but at least he tried.
"no uh its okay i don't mind, i am making eggs and would really appreciate if you at least ate something, i don't want to repeat last night, i understand if you don't want to though" he said to you sincerely.
"i will eat, just for you" he smiled at that and grabbed 2 plates.
while i was making toast Karl squeezed past me and when he did he out his hand around my waist. i unknowingly smiled and blushed a little.

while you were both eating breakfast Karl started talking out of the blue,
"we should get a cat" he started "we live alone in this shitty house, we could at least get a little friend ya know"
"why have we not thought of that, thats such a good idea" you said back.
"theres a animal shelter we could go to, its like a 30 minute drive i think"
"of course, we can go after breakfast? not like we have anything better to do" you stated, you both started laughing at the fact that you had no lives besides school and streaming, he agreed and you both finished eating.

          you kept on Karls shirt but changed from sweats to jeans. When Karl came downstairs he was wearing a tshirt and grey sweatpants (😀🔫) you put on your shoes and headed out to his car.

          once you got to the shelter you were real excited, you have always loved cats. you two walked through the shelter looking at cats for at least a half hour before you chose a small black kitten, he was the cutest little guy you have ever seen. Karl wanted to name it "lamp" but you decided against it. you both agreed on "eggplant"
on the way home you were playing with the little kitten the whole time, you stopped at a store to get some toys and food and all the essentials.
"by the way i meant to ask earlier, do you wanna watch a movie or 2 tonight? after i stream? you can pick what movie if you want" Karl said "we don't have to, just a thought" he quickly added, he sounded nervous. of course i agreed to watch a movie with him, i always had a little crush on Karl but never really thought much of it, no way he liked me back anyways.

          The time came after Karl was done streaming, you picked out a cheesy romance to maybe hint at Karl that you liked him a little more than a friend because no way in hell you were about to ruin your relationship with him unless you were 100% sure of his feelings towards you. he came down and laid on the couch next to where you were sitting and you started the movie.
         
          during the movie you could sense that someone was looking at you, its couldn't have been eggplant because he was asleep on your lap. You looked over and Karl was staring right at you, once he noticed that you caught him staring he looked over back at the tv screen.
"whatcha lookin at" you said to him
"oh nothing nothing" he said back, he was kind if holding in laughter
"is there something on my face?" you said,
"no no you look fine you're just pretty i guess" he said nervously, you smiled then put your attention back to the movie.

          The movie ended and you decided to take a shower before bed. you were out of the shower changing when Karl walked in without knocking,
"Karl wtf are you doing" you said covering yourself with a towel, he looked up and saw you
"oh shit" he said, he started covering his eyes and trying to get out of the bathroom.
"jesus christ Karl open your eyes and get out" you said and you started laughing. he finally got out and you could hear him laughing to himself on the other side of the door. you got changed for bed and went to your room to read some.
you heard a knock on the door
"come in" you said
"sorry for walking in on you" It was Karl of course and he walked in and sat on your bed.
"its fine, not like you haven't done it many times in the past, start knocking dumbass" you laughed to yourself and continued to read expecting him to leave, but he didn't. he laid down on his back and asked what you were reading,
"pretty little killers" you said (yes its a real book go read it its super good)
"can you read it to me" he said quietly
you started reading it to him and he eventually fell asleep on your bed. "idiot" you whispered careful to not wake him. you put your book away and turned off the light and laid next to him, and eventually you fell asleep too.
