(Wonderful cover made by MoonStarLone ) silvery egg rocked twice in the nest, constructed from moss and leaves. A soft tapping sound came from within the shell. A RainWing, Apricot, sat up and sleepily glanced around for the source of the sound. Her eyes widened when she saw the egg rocking. She shook the other RainWing awake. "Vibrant!" "Come on Apricot. It's probably midnight right now" Vibrant groaned. "The egg! It's hatching!" Apricot said. Vibrant peered at the egg. "Three moons" she said breathily. Apricot's scales turned a shade of pink that was almost luminous in the night, though she made an unsuccessful attempt to quash the pink. The dragonet inside the egg squeaked, and a tiny talon poked out from the shell. The shell began to fracture, bits of eggshell falling off as the dragonet inside tried to get out. After sevral pushes and shoves, the eggshell shattered, sending a tiny black dragonet sprawling across the floor. "She's SO cute!" Apricot squealed. Vibrant regarded the newly hatched dragonet. "I think it's a NightWing" she said. "I'm pretty sure that she is a NightWing" Apricot replied. "What should we name her!" Apricot asked Vibrant. "Well, I want it to be NightWingy, but also fitting for a RainWing" Vibrant responded. "Well, stars are NightWingy, right. And fruit is defiantly RainWingish" Apricot replied. "So StarFruit?" Vibrant asked. "Is there a ceremony for this kind of thing?" Apricot said, ignoring the question. "Like 'Thou are dubbed StarFruit of the RainWings or maybe NightWings?'" Vibrant laughed out loud from the mock serious tone.
