StarFruit's life had become significantly more difficult since the NightWings moved to the Rainforest, under Queen Glory. She was pretty sure that they liked that Moon dragonet more then they did her. According to some of the NightWings, she was a NightWing in scales only. In all other aspects, she was a lazy,
good-for-nothing RainWing. (Their words, not hers). She'd at least made friends from both tribes. A RainWing named Mango and a NightWing named ThoughtStorm. It was raining today, hard enough that a majority of the droplets managed to get through, pattering against StarFruit's roof. Occasionally, the crack and accompanying boom of thunder split the sky. At first, StarFruit didn't hear the knocking on the door. Eventually, she managed to catch the sound through the rain. Opening the door revealed a bedraggled, soaked RainWing. "Mango?" StarFruit asked, bewildered. Despite having streams of water trickling off her wings, and the heavy, exhausted breaths she was taking, Mango had a giant smile plastered on her snout. "You-You'll never believe it" Mango panted. "Our applications got accepted!" "What application?" StarFruit asked, realizing what Mango meant as soon as she spoke. "But I didn't sign up!" StarFruit replied, her voice rising steadily in pitch. "Well, you never came to the sign-ups, so I did it for you!" Mango replied, seemingly oblivious to StarFruit's rising panic. "You didn't even think to ask me?" She stammers. "You were asleep" Mango says, finally coming inside, sending water droplets across the floor.
