It had been two weeks since Katherine arrived, and she had established somewhat of a routine; Every morning, she drove out to the diner to eat breakfast, and then she would inquire about jobs. Still, she had no job. When she went for her breakfast this time, she met Rebecca. A redhead with the authority of a queen and the temper of a hungry mountain lion.

She was seated at a booth in the diner munching on her turkey bacon when Rebecca entered the establishment. She seemed exasperated walking to the counter, "I'm not driving into the city."

Now, Katherine was not in the business of getting into people's business, though she was inclined to do so when she overheard Rebecca's conversation. I mean, if God did not send her, Jesus must have because she was talking about a job, and Katherine was looking for a job. So... Katherine did the only thing she could think of doing- she walked up to Rebecca and said, "Would you like to join me for breakfast?" Rebecca was stunned at first, but she recovered. There was a live-action Barbie doll standing in front of her, "I'm Katherine- call me kat," she took hold of her and lead her to the booth she occupied, "Do you like turkey bacon? it's delicious."

She even smiled like Barbie, "I'm Rebecca."

After the initial shock, Rebecca and Katherine sat laughing at the table. She made a few suggestions about where she could find work. She even advised her to check with Ethan woods, who needed an administrative assistant. They said goodbye and parted ways after exchanging numbers. She did not know it, but Rebecca was praying that Ethan would not run her away.

She hopped into the front seat of the Lincoln Navigator and started the engine; she was going to drive to the address she got for Mr. Woods and attempt to secure employment. It was a good forty-nine-minute drive from the diner to the address she had been given. This person's home might even be deeper in the woods than the home her parents left her, at least that is what she thought.

The home was nestled in the forest, she drove along the mile-long paved driveway that had trees framing both sides

The home was nestled in the forest, she drove along the mile-long paved driveway that had trees framing both sides. When she finally saw the home, she gasped at how beautiful it was, the thing looked like the ark. The only color other than green that she saw was a few red flowers. She drove her car to the entrance in front of the home- her driver's side parallel to the large double doors. Before leaving the car, she prayed that she would get this job because she needed something to do for work. She turned off the car, left her keys inside, got out of the car, and walked up to the front door. The moment she stepped onto the front porch the bell rang, it was quite loud, but not obnoxious, she doubted that anyone could miss it no matter where they were in the house when it sounded.
