Well, it's a Real Short Story.

Chapter Four

HE WANTED TO PROTECT HER... his intent was not to be cruel or domineering. Some of his staff tended to walk over his assistants, and he would not allow it with Katherine. A few of them did not think she was old enough to have authority over them. She infuriated him with her blatant disregard for his authority and if she had been his wife, he would certainly spank her. He could sense her agitation as she tried to match his stride she had to take thrice as many steps as him to stay hot on his heels.

Katherine was unhappy, "you are absolutely insufferable," she said he slowed his pace down a bit as he did not want her to break out into a light jog to keep his pace. "Why does it matter who I eat with?"

Ethan stopped his walking, "I matters because I said it," His back was still to her, and he took a moment to breathe deeply, and he kept himself from exhaling- he did not want his exasperation to show. He turned to face her, took hold of her wrist, and pulled her into the nearest room to them, as he did not want to be overheard reprimanding her "I have already told you no..." He spoke sternly, "but if you insist on defying me, then your lunches will be spent with me." he said, keeping his voice low.

"With you!" she shouted, "why do you insist on being so ridiculous?" she challenged.

"Why do you insist on being so defiant?" he countered.

"Bruh, what is your problem?"

Bruh? Ethan took a deep breath- because if he didn't, he would certainly punish her- and closed his eyes for just a moment to compose himself and calm the beast within as he was edging to the surface, "I'm not your 'Bruh '- and from now on you're eating lunch with me."

"You-" he swiftly cut her off,

"I said, what I said."

The nerve!

Why was he like this? She had half the mind to quit; unfortunately, she had signed a contract which stated that if she quite she would have to pay him for breaking the contract. At the time signing such a contract didn't seem like the worst idea, she soon realized he had trapped her into employment. Had she Know what working for him would be like she wouldn't have accepted.
