💜 Belphegor x Reader - Awake 💜

Disclaimer: If you haven't gotten far enough in the game yet, where Belphie is present. Skip this one to avoid spoilers!

A/N: A Belphegor x Reader oneshot where Belphie deeply regrets what he did to Y/N and is filled with guilt. Although Y/N has forgiven him, he is desperately trying to make it up to them. Wanting to spend as much time with them as possible. Hating that their time together will soon near an end.

Belphegor couldn't sleep. He didn't want to sleep, which was very unusual for the Avatar of Sloth. His mind was plagued with the images of what he had done to Y/N. The human who freed him from the attic that served as his prison for so long. He had been so fueled in his own anger, that there was no room for rational thinking. He lured her in and attacked her when her guard was down. 

It wasn't until he had found out the truth about his sister Lilith that he began to see her in a different light. The raging fire that was his hatred for humans was diminished when it was revealed Lilith was reborn as a human and had lived a full and happy life. Y/N was Lilith's distant descendant. The form that Mammon held in his shaking arms and crying out desperately to disappeared from all seven of the brother's eyes. Yet, there stood Y/N from the future. The one and true Y/N who desperately worked to right all of their wrongs. To unite them as a family. 

Even at the cost of their own life.

He couldn't begin to imagine what his life would have been like without them by their side. The human treated him with such patience and care. Quietly taking his snarky remarks and attitude. Putting on a smile whenever he entered a room they happened to be in the moment. Offering to hangout with him. Following him whenever he ventured away from his brothers and was alone. They'd be there beside him, providing him comfort with their presence alone. 

When he witnessed just how much all of his brothers loved this human, and noted the positive changes they helped bring about to his family. He suddenly grew fearful and anxious as he saw them all together. He felt anger at himself and wanted to spend time with them more. He wanted them all to himself. 

Belphegor wanted to be awake more.

Belphegor wandered the mansion in search for the human, craving their presence. He hugged his cow patterned pillow close to his chest as he trudged along the corridor filled with doors to some of his brother's rooms. Making his way into the kitchen, he spotted Beezlebub munching on a number of food from the fridge. Quietly chuckling to himself at his brother's antics, he made his way to the room near the kitchen. 

Standing in front of their door, he began to grow a bit nervous. Although they both hung out from time to time, he was always left with an empty feeling when they were apart. He wanted them to be with him the moment he went to sleep and yearned for them to be with him in his waking moments. Sighing, he knocked on their door hoping they would accept his invitation. 

After a few seconds, Y/N opened the door and greeted Belphie with a sweet smile. "Hey, Belphie. Is something wrong?" Y/N asked. Noticing the sleepy demon's sad expression. 

"U-um.." He startled at the question with widened eyes. Then blushed slightly as he hugged his pillow tighter and buried the lower half of his face on the pillow staring at the floor instead.
