The class ended and Class 1A went to get lunch. Sophia looked around and saw Todoroki sitting all alone reading a book. Sophia wanted to be friends with him so she sat next to him. Todoroki sighed.

"You again? Great..." Sophia frowned a little.

"Like what's your proble?! I just want to be friends with you and you keep pushing me away!" Todoroki stayed silent.

"I-i brought you a lunch." She handed the box with sushi to Todoroki. Todoroki looked at her with his typical stern look. He didn't say anything and just took the box.

"What's your quirk?" Sophia asked. Todoroki simply replied without looking from his book.

"It's called half hot half cold. It allows me to generate ice from right side of my body and fire from the left, though only normal fire not the blue one. Now if you please excuse me." Sophia frowned.

"FINE! Be all mean then! I don't care!" Sophia then walked away and sit with the other 1A girls.

TIMESKIP:

Todoroki was sitting at his table listening to music. Sophia sat next to him, Todoroki was ignoring her.

"Todoroki-kun?" Todoroki snapped his head at her with visibly angry expression.

"What do you want now?" Sophia frowned.

"Why are you so mean to me! I just want to be friends with you." Todoroki sighed and put his headphones down.

"Look.... I'm not a friendly-type guy. I'm not in UA to be all buddy-buddy with you, i'm not here to joke around with you or whatever you think. You will tell me to hang out with you, and i say no. Than you will try to say something like 'please! It will be fun!' and i still say no. Then you try to hit on my conscience and you guessed it! I still say no, I don't have any anyway."

"But whyyyyy???" Sophia cried out.

"You know what? I wasn't brought to this world from a loving family, no. I was created in quirk-marriage. Only a tool to create better quirk, my father kept me from my siblings that he considered 'failures' while my mother gave me this scar because my left side reminded her of my father's fire quirk. So unless you know what it's like, i would appreciate if you would leave me alone." Sophia stood up and got in front of Todoroki, she put her hands on his table and looked at him with kind of sad look.

"I do know." Todoroki raised an eyebrow.

"My parents married each other to create a new quirk too. Not only that but both of them were perfectionists. Dad was training me until i couldn't move anymore and beat me if i'd refuse to train. Because of this intense training i got those burns. Mom wouldn't care about me at all. There were times when i prayed to got to kill me. Fortunately, my grandparents found out. Then they got my grandparents to a trial and the judge made my parents my new guardian angles and my life changed. I moved to my grandparents house and everything was fine, until my father hired some mercs to kidnap me and bring me back home. Fortunately for me my screams woke up grandpa and he kicked their asses. So to prevent any more of these 'accidents' We sudenly and unannouced moved here so we would loose them. I still can't sleep at night because i'm scared i won't wake up, or worse i wake up back at my parents' home." Todoroki was... kind of shocked.

"I'm... Sorry hear this." He sounded genuinly sorry for Sophia's situation.

"Thanks... So... Does that mean you will give me a chance." Todoroki sighed and a very, very tiny, tiny, TINY almost unregognizable smiled appeared on his face.

"You just never give up do you?" A determined smile appeared on Sophia's face.

"NO! No Takahashi ever gives up! My grandfather's words 'giggle'" Sophia and Todoroki were both silent for a few seconds.

"So uhm... Could you... I don't know, come over to my place after school? You know, for a sleepover!" Todoroki was suprised that she already invited him to her place (The fuck i just wrote??????).

"Sure i guess.... Where is your place?" Sophia than proceded to tell him where her grandparents' house is. Sophia left happy.

"YES! FINALLY SOME PROGRESS!"
