The doors to the guild opened "daddy!" I turned around to face my daughter who ran in my direction Juvia and Evergreen trailing behind her "how was your day out with your mother and evergreen?" I ask as she placed something on the table her eyes sparkling "she seemed to have enjoyed herself" Evergreen said taking a seat "I'm surprised Mana's not tired after all the running she did" Juvia ruffled her blue hair "nii-chan" Mana called radiating in happiness "is there something I missed?" I blinked "look I found an egg" her eyes seemed to brighten up as she pointed to the grey egg on the table.
Team Natsu opened the door "hey we're back!" Natsu kicked the door open "Natsu-san welcome back" Juvia said politely Manami sprung out of her seat walking over to Natsu oh no she's seen him Natsu greeted her "Natsu-san" Manami called looking up at him "why is she glowing?" Erza asks noting her excitement "did something happen?" Lucy asks tilting her head "I found an egg" she pointed to the egg "your that excited over a big egg?" Gray raised an eyebrow "yeah she's been going off about it ever since" Raijin rubbed his temples "it seems like-" "Freed-kun said it's an exceed!" she announced grabbing Natsu's hand pulling him toward out table.
"it looks like the egg Happy hatched out of" I pointed out "well Laxus it looks like your wish will come true we'll get our own cat after all" Juvia said don't say that here woman! I could see Gajeel's smug face "wipe that smug off your face!" I scowled at him "come on let's go home with your egg" Raijin held the egg "really onii-chan?" Manami's sea green eyes brightened in joy "why do I feel as if this won't last long?" Juvia asks.
Juvia intuition was right "I was the one who found him!" Manami yelled holding the exceed in her arms "so what? that doesn't give you instant claim over him Manami!" Raijin pointed at the exceed in her arms "you told me that you didn't want a cat before!" the grey exceed looked up at Manami in confusion "he's actually an ex-" "shut up!" Gray put his finger down "how much longer do they plan to continue this?" Levy asks "those two are giving me a headache" Gajeel stood up from his seat Manami puffed out her cheeks her hands tight fist by her side "seems you don't need to" I gestured to the two "I'm not talking to you meanie!" she turned her head away from him "fine" Raijin did the same aye aye aye aye... I shook my head this is going to be a trouble.
The next few weeks they avoided each other at all costs "Where's Manami?" I ask looking around for her "Gray decided to take her for a walk to get her away from the guild for a while" Juvia replied out of the corner of my eye I could see Raijin trying to eavesdrop on our conversation why don't you just apologise to her already if your so worried? I sweatdropped.
Raijin made an excuse of going to see a friend grabbing the grey exceed before running of the guild.

Turning back around to check on Manami after I didn't hear a reply from her or one of her snarky comments towards me where'd she go?! I screamed in my head if Laxus or Juvia finds out I lost their daughter they'll kill me I frantically looked around for her.
Elsewhere
A bluenette picked up a rock throwing at an older boy standing over someone "hey! leave 'em alone you big bully!" the now young 4-year old yelled "who're you?" a ravenete ask his companion still rubbing his head "man she's a good thrower..." he muttered to himself "what if we don't?" the leader of the group asks mockingly "what are you going to do? go cry to your daddy about it?" he taunted the girl's eyes darkened into a cold glare "why would you like to find out?" she cracked her knuckles with a smirk the others behind the leader flinched in fear scurrying off "you cowards!" the boy scowled at his friends "heh" Manami Dreyar gave a smug smile "why you little-" she held his hand flipping him over her shoulder without breaking a sweat.
Walking up to the little boy still on the ground tears at the corner of his eyes "hey are you ok?" she asks stopping in front of the boy he nodded staring at her shocked "my names Manami" the girl smiled offering a hand to the boy his eyes widening.
The girl suddenly flinches "hey what did you say to my brother?" an older man asks the young girl who grabs the boy hand running away with him "why are we running?" the boy asks meekly "younger kids are fine but I can't deal with those people they're scary" she says quicken her pace "please slow down..." if it wasn't for the young dragon slayers heightened hearing she probably would've the boys words "no time".
Suddenly the boy tripped taking the young lightning dragon slayer with him "itai..." the bluenette stood up staring down at her knees tearing up "she's a fast runner..." the men panted for breath "what do we do now?" the red eyed boy asks hiding behind a shaking water mage "Manami!" a blonde stood in front of the young girl as she looked up at him "onii-chan?" the younger sibling tilted her head "Mana" a grey exceed flew down towards the young water mage "did you have a problem with my sister?" Raijin Dreyar glared at the group who shook their heads scurrying off.
Gray Fullbuster finally managed to find the 4-year-old girl finding Raijin fussing over his younger sister who stopped upon smelling the ice mage turning to him with a scowl.
"Where were you? why weren't you with Manami?! what if something had happened to her?!" to say Laxus was angry was an understatement the man was furious with the ice mage for losing his daughter blaming him for the trouble she got into "I told you she suddenly disappeared" Gray said "well you should've been keeping an eye on her" Lucy said getting up to go scold her boyfriend.
"what did I miss?" Gray sits down next to his team "they're arguing over a name for their exceed now" Erza replied "is that why Manami's making that face?" Gray noted the girls red puffed out cheeks and her clenched pale hands "yeah they even managed to drag Natsu into it" Happy said pointing out the fire dragon slayer trying to break the two up "Hunter" the youngest of the siblings suggested "really?" Juvia raised a brow "ok" Raijin agreed the guild members breathing a sigh of relief.
Elsewhere
A young boy looked out at the moon from his window "Yuho are you asleep?" a black haired man asks walking into his son's room "daddy..." the boy said softly re-telling his father about the girl who helped him.
A small smile stretched the man's lip patting his son on the head he tucked him and the exceed in the pink frog suit in before leaving the room shutting the door behind him heading to his room where his wife was waiting for him.
The young boy looked outside to see a shooting star "Frosch look a shooting" the ravenette pointed to it "make a wish" Frosch said closing his eyes along with Yuho I wish to meet that beautiful girl again... opening his eyes the boy turned over in his bed bidding goodnight to the exceed.
