The fairy tail guild rejoiced in the return of their member especially the thunder legion and Raijin Dreyar who caught up with the girl "so you've got your own team onii-chan?" Raijin nodded in all his cockiness while his exceed shook his head "that's so awesome! you've made friends!" the girl's seafoam green eyes sparkled showering her older brother in praises Hunter facepalming at the girl "of course your onii-chan's the greatest" Raijin said proudly.

Manami looked up at the guild doors expecting a certain dirty blonde however to her disappointment it was only Romeo returning from a mission she returned her attention to Naomi Justine however the girl's disappointment didn't go unnoticed by her best friend Nora "you know if you're so desperate to know about Layla's whereabouts I could always tell you" the girl looked at her in confusion upon noting the sad almost grieving face "what happened? why are you making that face?" Manami raised a brow having a feeling her friend was still in pain over something this was one of the many reasons why they were best friends they could read each other so well "Layla... she..." Nora paused trying to think of a way to break the news of the blonde ice mages death to Manami a woman who she knew Layla had feelings for "she died Mana..." Manami blinked before a soft smile curved her lips "I'm glad she's in a better place now" she ignored the glare from Lucy Fullbuster "now if you'll excuse me I need to get back to sabertooth I promised Akira I'd help her at the bar" the young water mage stood up "I'm going to set her up with someone hopefully she doesn't kill me after wish me luck" grinning at her friend she raised a hand walking out of the guild doors "you'll need it with what you plan to do" Nora chuckled at her friend.

The young water mage actually never really went back to Sabertooth instead she stood in front of a familiar gravestone with the engravings.

Dropping to her knees the bluenette sobbed in front of the young girl's grave the memories of that unfateful day she discovered the girl fresh in her mind like it happened yesterday.

The magic council had gotten news of girl's and children disappearing with no trace at all so Mest Gryder went under his alias Doranboltnot many knew off and gathered as much information as he could until Manami got back from the extra training she had with her uncle Jellal and the other members of crime sorcière she told him to hold down the fort for 4 days and he was glad that he got all the information Manami would need with this case.

The man had to give it to her she was a dangerous woman especially with her history as a criminal in her teenage years so Mest had thought she'd gone soft when she changed however she proved him wrong with how she handled dark mages older than her and with way more experience then the girl but she managed to take them down without breaking a sweat Mest wouldn't admit it but he had come to enjoy the water mages company she was loved to tease others, could be serious, wasn't afraid to bring someone down from cloud nine and she was a master strategist however Mest found that Manami was always laughing or smiling even if it were a criminal she'll go out of her way to chat with them.

Mest even caught her having a conversation with her grandfather Ivan Dreyar once but he mostly saw her chatting with Totomaru and laughing.

Manami Dreyar kicked the man in front of her in the shin she came undercover for the council to affiliate the base of these sick bastards who were kidnapping women and young girls then selling them off as slaves or sex slaves to say Manami Tsukihime Dreyar felt sick was an understatement she was fricking disgusted at the men who oh so clearly ogled her in the most perverted and lustful way possible the other members of her team had been there to witness their commanders actions she threw another running at her over her shoulder as he groaned and cried in pain "keys. now"  she held out a pale hand for the keys which one of the ones cowering gave her "just take it man I don't want it!" he cried her eyes darkened into a blood-chilling glare "what did you just call me?" the poor young boy stuttered out an apology.

All of the girl's scurried out once the cell door containing them opened Manami turning to one of the other members of the team "hey Masashi catch!" the bluenette threw the red-haired boy who almost dropped the keys "open the other cells" the redhead dejectedly walked over to the other cells releasing the women "now gentlemen let's play another game" Manami turned to the other ones cowering "it's where I arrest and put you in jail and we never see each other again would you like play?"  her rosy pink lips stretched into a sickenly sweet smile Manami was thankful that she left Mamoru back at Sabertooth with Minerva and Lector.

"What did you think your some queen or something? what's a queen without her king anyway?" Manami smirked down at him bringing her leg up then successfully hit the back of the man's head "what a queen without her king? well historically speaking more powerful"  the others screamed in fear.

Layla Fullbuster watched the women who she couldn't move on from scowling at a redhead "you're supposed to confiscate this Masashi not give it to me" Masashi hung his head "I'm sorry Ms Dreyar" he sniffled she smiled once the girl calmed down meeting her eyes instantly brightening up even if this would be her last moments alive Layla was happy that the one who came for her was the sunshine in her life Manami Dreyar even if she was unaware of her presence the bluenettes eyes widened as she ran towards the blonde.

"Layla!" Manami caught Layla before she hit the ground "hey! what's wrong? Layla!" the bluenette furiously shook her "Manami..." a whisper of her name escaped Layla's bubble gum pink lips "Layla! talk to me please! keep your eyes on me!" Layla could see the heartbreak in those seafoam green eyes she'd be happy in her final moments seeing those seafoam green eyes which always seemed to hold a certain brightness to them and that familiar face of the one she loved hovering over her holding Layla in her arms she could feel the urge to sleep slowly eating her alive with the injuries Layla Fullbuster received and the amount of blood she lost Layla wasn't surprised that she was losing the battle of life to death.

Manami let out a pain-filled cry tears rolling down her cheeks as she bit her lip trying to suppress her sobs that was the most painful day of her life when a member of her former guild died in her arms the others also grieving her death beside the water mage even the criminals they got shed a few tears seeing such a strong woman break down right in front of them.

Layla Fullbuster's spirit looked back at Manami Dreyar who was behind the council training some new members Masashi teared up "what are you crying for?!" Manami asks as the redhead sniffled "commander..." Masashi said as the girl flicked his forehead with a 'baka'.

I wanted to say so many things to you...

I wanted to get to know you...

I wish I told you that I care about you maybe not in a deep sense but I still care about you Layla Fullbuster...

Manami sobbed loudly as the rain fell down with her tears "I'm sorry... if only I noticed you sooner than you'd be..." she buried her face in her hands "it's all my fault..." Hikari Dragneel witnessed the girl's breakdown so he hesitantly placed a hand on her shoulder earning the girl's attention "Hikari..." Manami didn't make any move to wipe her tears or hide her feelings from him and that was the many things he liked about her Manami was always honest with she wasn't afraid to show him her true colours.

Despite that Hikari still felt the emotions anger at her sometimes like right now when Manami constantly blamed herself for everything "it's not your fault Manami! stop blaming yourself!" she quietened down staring at the love of her life with wide tear-filled eyes "I don't blame you... no one does and I'm sure Layla doesn't either" she blinked staring at him silently her face slowly brightening into a smile.

The blonde spirit smiled at the bluenette who laughed with Hikari Dragneel this is what she wanted to see that smile not those heartbroken eyes despite her hate for the pinkette she was still happy for Manami Layla disappeared into dust leaving behind no knowledge of her spirit's visit.

I wish I had told you before...

I don't hate you I'm just shy about my feelings towards you...
