Crystals

You will notice that in every chapter I dedicate time to crystal usage. Crystals, just like any other form of creation, are very sacred beings, and have a mission to heal. By using crystals for our own healing, both sides gain; We heal, and the crystals manifest their mission on Earth. Many ancient cultures believed that rocks are living beings as well, brought here to fulfill their life's purpose, just like us. Crystals are charged with a powerful, potent energy specific for many different forms of healing, and I will detail the different varieties in each appropriate chapter. Please don't feel guilty for using crystals, since they were placed here for the purpose of helping you. But, and this is an important but – buy your crystals with conscience. Find out where they came from, what are the conditions of the mining, make sure that the mine was not overly exhausted from its sources, and that no humans were exploited in the harvesting of these crystals. In short: eco-consume your crystals. Using non-ecofriendly crystals will be harmful for the land and the people, of course, and will create negatively charged crystals. How to do that? Make sure to only buy from eco-friendly shops. If the shop you are buying from doesn't know the source of the crystals, encourage them to become ecofriendly, fare-trade suppliers.

To choose a crystal which is right for you, ask inside you for the question or the healing topic that you need assistance with, and then approach the crystals and see which one(s) pop into your eyes. Also notice the patterns, colors, and shape of the crystals, since they will have significance to your healing process.

Before you use any crystal, you need to make sure that it is purified. You can do this by placing the crystal in a bowl full of pure and clean sea water, preferably outside, under the full moon, for a whole night. Other purification options would be to place the crystals inside a Tibetan singing bowl and create a sound to cleanse, to rinse them under running water, or bury them in the ground for a night or two. Each cleaning method will bring a different frequency to the crystals – so be aware of that and choose what is right for you.

Since I use crystals a lot, I like to rinse them under running water at the end of each working day, having the crystals let go of everything they accumulated, and then place them under the tipping point of a generator quartz (see seventh chakra chapter, under crystals). Once in a while, when I feel it is time and the crystals would need extra recharge, I place them in the sea water bath, under the full moon.

If I want to direct specific healing methods for each chakra, I use the elements. For the first chakra crystals, I like to bury them in the Earth. For the second chakra crystal, to place them in water. For the third chakra crystals, I let them hover lightly above a fire. I expose the fourth chakra crystals to fresh, good air, and use a Tibetan singing bowl for the fifth chakra crystals. You don't have to do all these of course, I only do so since my crystals see many clients and need to recharge. For a quicker option – a sea water bath under the full moon is enough, but any moon phase will do, as long as it isn't waning.

You will find that crystals really do have a life of their own, magically vanishing and appearing on their own will. When a crystal goes missing or breaks, it has finished its role, and you can thank it and go bury it in the Earth for good.

Children are the most intuitive beings in general, but also when it comes to crystals. I once had a client, about 4 years old, that after walking into the clinic with his mom, immediately approached the crystal bowl, took one of the crystals, slammed it on the floor, and it broke (in an entropic way, of course). He didn't do it out of rage, but in such a natural way – that I was so thankful! He signaled to me in the most direct way that this specific crystal finished its job.

I use generator quartz a lot. A LOT. In almost every session I place it above the seventh chakra (to be discussed in the appropriate chapter). A good generator quartz is pointy on one end, and flat on the other. It is opaque when you first start to use it, and the more you use it, you'll see that it becomes translucid. I've had one of mine for a while already, more than a year, and used it again and again with my clients. At some point, I noticed that it had become so translucid, that I thought: Where more can it "go"? a few days later, during a session, the crystal fell from my hand and broke. It only broke into two pieces, and so I continued to use it for the next few days, procrastinating going to the shop and replacing it. But then, a few days later, while picking it up to use during a session, it cut my hand. OK! I was finally willing to get the message, and in my next available time, I went to my favorite spot in the forest, thanked it, and buried it.

Another curious incidence happened to me with a friend, when we casually, while talking about relationship issues, used her crystal-quartz pendulum for general healing. A few weeks later, her pendulum turned pink! We thought we might be imagining it at first, maybe it was the position of the light? But we tried it in every kind of light possible – there was no doubt about it. It was a rose-quartz kind of pink!
