Sorry this took so long hehe.
Okay, so personally I think plotwists are my specialty, simply because I am very dramatic and I love watching drama unfold from the sidelines. I also love being left like this:
So plotwists are solely your preference, I don't really have much to say other than the fact that if you're going to have a plotwist, make sure it really grabs you by the ***** and takes you ultimately by surprise.
I wish I could say a lot more to this, but I honestly just go with the flow in whatever direction my book is headed. Sometimes I will have a whole book planned out to the T but as soon as I think about a plotwist for the story, everything changes and I go with it.
THIS IS A SPOILER FOR GET THE GIRL IF YOU HAVEN'T READ IT YET.
Fun fact: Harry was actually supposed to be the bad guy in GET THE GIRL, I mean he kinda was, but when he kidnaps her he was actually supposed to "kidnap" her and sell her somewhere else for $, but of course I was like, what if he was actually sent to be protected by her real father and her "father" was actually not her "father" she was kidnapped as a baby and her real father was in prison.
Thus, a plotwist.
It should come to you naturally, if it doesn't then that is OK, you'll figure it out!
Ummm I can't think of anymore tips, this is practically all I do when I write but if you have any questions or need further help with your writing, you can always comment on here or PM me, I'm always available.
