Ty Lee POV:
After winning the calvary battle, safe to say things are looking up. We've been told the last battle is 1v1's and it looks super fun! Well kinda scary... but on the most part super fun! Only the people who made it through the obstacle course and the calvary get to do the 1v1's so i'll be up against some stiff competition.

I see Todoroki, Shinsou from 1C and a few others with serious looks on their faces. I am normally not very good at reading the room but i know that now its were i have to take things seriously if i want to place high. There's no underestimating these young heroes.

The rules of the 1v1's are simple. 2 people fight using their quirks, the winner is the person who either immobilises their opponent or knocks them out of the platform. If things get too feisty, Cementoss can intervene to prevent severe injuries etc.

My first match is against a cute girl with vine hair. The board says her name is Ibara Shiozaki. She looks like she would be such a nice friend! Shame i'm going to have to go all out and beat her.

I need to do well in order to keep my place at UA and attract the attention of the pro-heros. I have to go all out.

After a few of the 1v1's including Sero v Todoroki and Midoriya v Shinsou, its finally my turn. I take my place on one side of the platform and Ibara on the other. I look around the mass of people and hear Present Mic booming our names.

Midnight: START

I wait for her to attack first. She shoots a couple of hair vines at me and a few slither on the floor. I easily dodge the vines by backflipping and landing a bit further back being careful not to step on the vines on the ground. She looks at me with a scared look on her face. I don't take the time to figure out a plan i just run towards her. She shoots a couple more vines my way but i run around her a dodge them. I'm only a couple of meters behind her and i see a clear opening. In no time at all i chi-block her and she falls to the ground.

Before she does though, one vine is still active and slaps me across the face. I takes a couple of seconds to register what just happened until i feel the stinging pain in my cheeks. I can also feel cuts in my cheek too because of the thorns. I look at her limp body on the ground and make sure that there are no more vines coming my way.

I help her up and she muffles a thanks but I can barely hear it. All i can hear are "boo's" from the crowd and Midnight confirming my victory. Wait, why are they boo-ing?

We both take our leave and exit the arena. I look up only to see the mass of crowd pointing at me and shouting things.

"SHE'LL NEVER BE A HERO!"

"WHO DOES SHE THINK SHE IS, TRYING TO SHOW UP REAL HEROS"

"A QUIRKLESS PERSON CAN'T PROTECT ANYONE!"

I knew I was sensitive, but why? Why are these people shouting these things? I didn't do anything... Did I?

I cover my ears and walk faster, entering the gate where I am no longer seen by the crowd. The gate closes, and still there are muffled shouts and boo's from the by-standers. I make my way up to the waiting room holding my red and soon to be bruised cheek. The class looks at me with blank faces trying to figure out what to say. They must've heard the crowd.

Kirishima: T-Ty Lee, lets get you to recovery girl, to fix up that cheek, Ok?

He says with a kind smile.

I nod and and turn to leave with him, walking a little closer to him then usual.

Izuku: Ty Lee! Wait!

The small green haired boy fumbles towards me with tears brimming in his eyes.

Izuku: Don't listen to what anyone else says! Please! I look up to people like you, no matter what others may say, you push forward to achieve your goals! Ty Lee, you are incredible and an amazing fighter. It inspires me and others to go beyond. So please, don't be down-hearted by people who hate. Anyone can become a hero!

With tears streaming down his face, I run into him and hug him. He's a little startled but soon he wraps his arms around my waist and we hug for a few moments before Bakugo speaks up.

Bakugou: Yeah yeah, now go get your ass to recovery girl. Dumbass.

I let go of Midoriya and see subtle smiles from people in my class.

Ty Lee: I see you guys later in time for my next round! Good luck!

I exit the room with Kirishima.
