I sat on Shinobu's bed, and just looked at her. A smile crept onto my face as I took in her features. Her beautiful eyes. Her beautiful hair, that was softer than silk. Her porcelain skin. She's so beautiful.
"I was wondering, if maybe, do you wanna hang out tonight, Shinobear?" I ask her. I havent used that nickname in awhile. I gave it to her on our first date, since I won her a stuffed bear at a festival.
"Y/n-San. Im not here. Im sorry, but,you can't keep doing this. "
She said, sorrow laced her sweet voice.
"What do you mean, Shinobear?"
"You know what I mean. You need to stop pretending im here. I died 2 years ago, fighting an upper-moon demon. And, you need to stop blaming yourself for it. There was nothing anyone could do to save me. Please, for me. I dont like seeing you in pain.  And, once you can accept that im gone, i can finally rest in peace."
I looked around, and instead of the white walls of Shinobu's room, I was surrounded by tombstones. And instead of the soft, warm blankets on Shinobu's bed, I was on dried up grass. In front of me wasn't Shinobu herself, but, instead, her tombstone. Today is the anniversary of her death. 2 years ago, she died. I read the small letters that were engraved on her tombstone.
"Kocho Shinobu.
Insect pillar of the Hashira's.
Died an honorable death, killing an upper-moon demon, avenging her sisters death.
She will be missed."
Tears fell from my eyes, as I placed a boquet of Wisteria flowers infront of her tombstone. I stood up and slowly walked away.
Goodbye, my love.
