Plot: What if Demir told Selin he loved her for the first time in a different way.

Demir was offended by Selin and her lies.

He thought she was different than the rest - from the likes of Alara and Eylül who manipulated him for their own good. But, when Merve had been summoned into his office and confessed everything - the monstrous fake client, getting someone to fall in love with him, Operation Cheetah - Demir felt like his whole world, literally, had come crashing down around him.

Selin Sever was his life now. Whether it was all a game to her or not, she consumed him in a way that he'd never experienced before. She was everywhere - at home, at work ... in his head.

Deep down, Demir wanted to believe in Selin's innocence. He wanted to believe Vedat when he said Selin's feelings for him were real. But frankly, Demir had been burned too much to trust as easily as Selin. Everyone in his life - apart from Vedat - had hurt him, left him ... made him feel insecure and unworthy of love. And after Eylül had abandoned him after their engagement, Demir had promised himself he would keep people at arm's length. His fragile heart couldn't take any more pain but Selin's presence in his life hadn't been planned.

One minute he was bickering with her about her stupid little goat that was chewing through his clothes and the next, he was chasing her on her bicycle to reassure her that absolutely nothing was going on between him and Alara - because without even realising it, he cared.

At that point, Demir hadn't been aware of the magnitude of his feelings for Selin. She still irritated him beyond belief and yet, he had wanted to shelter her from pain. He had seen the look of sadness flicker across her face as she saw Alara stood at his hotel door and the slight tremor of her lips and the tears in her eyes made his heart clench. And although his and Selin's relationship wasn't anything at that point, Demir felt like he needed to confirm that Alara was just a client - that's it.

His heart had been racing as he thought of Selin on her bike in the middle of the night with no helmet or high visibility clothing. In order to prevent her parents from learning the truth about their cohabitation, she had run out of the house precariously and Demir was worried some speeding car would miss her as she pedalled her way home. The thought of her in an accident frightened him and like a mad man with an agenda, he'd searched the roads until he found her.

Just like him, she was confused by what she was feeling. They weren't dating nor were they really friends so why did seeing Alara that night hurt her so much? Why did a grey cloud feel like it had settled over her head at the thought of Demir and Alara spending the night together? Selin was stubborn and insistent that he return to his date with Alara but Demir didn't care.

His priority was stood in front of him.

Selin kept saying how Demir and Alara's relationship wasn't her business but Demir had still wanted her to know. Because behind the high walls he'd built around his heart, Demir knew he felt something for Selin ... even back then. The messy and eccentric girl who had hit him in the head on their first meeting had weaved her way into his heart without him knowing how and now, he didn't know what to feel.

Time after time, Selin had lied to him. First about Vedat, then about Merve and Bora and now ... now about this whole operation that was designed to drive him out of the company and out of her life.

Demir was hurt but he couldn't deny his feelings for Selin were still there; he was just trying to wait for the water to settle to see if Selin's feelings for him were true or whether she was playing another game. Demir wanted Selin in his life but not at the expense of his own sanity, not if she was only doing this to hurt him further down the line.
