Plot: Selin and Demir discuss having children.
Demir found his wife in their spare bedroom. It felt like a lifetime ago but back when he'd been trying to chase Selin out of the house, he'd tried painting the room grey. He'd intended for it to be a study but had never gotten around to completing it after he'd fallen for her - for Selin.
Their romance had been a whirlwind - one that hadn't been easy ... but had most definitely been worth it.
Never, in a million years, did Demir Erendil think he'd marry the infuriating woman who'd hit him over the head but following in the footsteps of Muharrem Usta and Leya Teyze, Selin and Demir had gotten married in their back garden after returning from their travels. The place held too much sentimental value for their wedding to take place anywhere else. With their close friends and Selin's immediate family in attendance, Demir had promised himself to Selin forever. They both said their evets and Selin cheered proudly as she waved her red marriage certificate in the air; Sakiyz fittingly letting out her own outcry of excitement.
It really had been the perfect day and Demir and Selin had been living in wedded bliss ever since.
Demir had set up his own architectural company and had onboarded the likes of Merve, Ayda and Azmiye while Selin had found a new job working for a non-profit organisation.
Finally, things had fallen into place for Demir and with a bright smile on his face, he wrapped his arms around his wife's tiny little waist as she stared at the incomplete wall - still painted half grey and half light blue.
Now that things in his work and marital life seemed to be going well, it was only in Demir's nature to think about what came next. Selin was the spontaneous one, the erratic person who did whatever she pleased. She was the woman who forced Demir out of his comfort zone and made him confront emotions he had spent so long running from. She was free-spirited and fun while Demir always articulately planned for the future, their future.
And, the one thought that had been plaguing Demir's mind recently had been children. ... and how much he wanted them.
Demir had always resented his childhood and had told himself that when, and if, he found the right woman for him, he would be nothing like his own parents. Although his fears of abandonment stemmed deep, Demir knew that he would never let his own child feel an ounce of what he did whilst growing up and truthfully, he knew he and Selin were nothing like his parents.
First of all, he was one hundred percent certain that they loved each other more than life itself. Demir was prepared to do anything to stop Selin from shedding a tear.
Back when the Eylül drama had imploded around them, Demir's biggest fear had been Selin's wellbeing. Much like him, Selin had her own fears of abandonment and she'd had a hard time coping when she'd figured out the truth about his ex-fiance. Although it felt like a distant memory now, Demir remembered how much it killed him to know Selin was hurting because of him. Ever since they'd gotten back together, he'd vowed he'd never cause her any pain even remotely comparable and he knew she would do the same for him.
Demir also knew that Selin would be an amazing mother and after careful consideration, he knew he had the capability to be a really good Dad too ... and that this spare room would be the perfect nursery. It was spacious, empty and had a picturesque view that overlooked the trees in their garden.
"Selin?"
"Hmm?" Subconsciously, Selin leaned into Demir with a soft sigh. Her back was pressed tightly up against his chest. He rested his head against hers lightly, curling their fingers together at her stomach as he let their bodies sway together naturally.
