The sunlight peeked through you blinds and shone directly into your eyes, causing you to awake from your deep sleep. You groaned. Damn it, you have having a really good dream too. You loathed the sun sometimes. Why can't it always be cloud or rainy? That would mean pjs, blankets, hot chocolate, movies, a boyfriend to cuddle with...
Well, that is if you has a boyfriend. But here's the thing; lately, it felt like you had two boyfriends. Your two closest guy friends, Ricky and Changjo, showed immense interest in you. It was kind of weird but kind of cute in an odd way. They were attracted to you like a moth to a light.
You reached over to yank your phone off the charger. That was a daily habit, You checked you phone like it was the daily news. You unlocked it to be greeted by a light brighter than a camera's flash. You shut you eyes tightly, letting the burn fade a way before squinting and seeing you had missed calls and tons of text messages. Who calls and texts this early? You checked the time. 1:23 P.M. Oh, you guessed it wasn't that early then.
To no surprise whatsoever, they texts and calls were all from Ricky and Changjo. Jeez, if they don't have anything to do, they should hangout with each other. You set your phone down and rubbed the sleep out of you eyes. Time to take a shower, get ready, and see what they want.
After you tasks were complete, you debated on which boy to respond to first. If you called one or they other, they'd be unbelievably offended. Besides, you'd feel horrible. You couldn't just blow off one of them. They were your best friends. You scrolled through your missed calls to see who had called first. Ricky. You'd call him then.
"Kenzie!" He chirped cutely.
You grinned. "Rickyyy! Mianhae, I was still sleeping."
"What? It's almost 2 P.M!"
"Yah, a girl needs her beauty sleep."
He chuckled. "So, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the movies with me?"
"Hmmm, I don't know...You like to talk a lot during movies," you teased.
"Oh, jebal! I want to see you."
You felt your cheeks warm up. Did he now? That was incredibly blunt of him. You fiddled with the end of your skirt. 'I'm just kidding. Of course I will but would you mind if I invited a friend?"
"Ani, bring them! I don't know mind. I'll meet you at the theater in half an hour."
"Okay, buh-bye Ricky!"
"Bye-bye!" The line went dead.
Well, time to invite the other moth.
"Changjo?"
"Kenzie, glad you called me back," you could hear the smile in his face.
"Yah, I'm going to the movies. Do you want to come with me?"
"Uh y-yeah!" He seemed surprised by your offer. "Just the two of us?"
"Ani, another friend will be there."
"Oh, okay. I'll meet you over there then."
"Okay. Byeeee!"
He chuckled. "Bye-bye!"
You sighed. You really hoped they wouldn't mind each other's presence. They hadn't been hanging out together much anymore. You hoped more than anything that it wasn't because of you.
You were nervous to see their reactions but what else were you supposed to do? You weren't going to lie and make up some lame ass excuse to ditch one of them. You wouldn't want someone to do that to you so you wouldn't do it to them.
