'I walk by your house and see you stuck inside that small room of yours with a frown that should be a smile. Tears trickling down your cheeks and all I can wonder is,

Who hurt you?'

DENSHI would walk past the Zenin household after hours of training with his grandfather. He walked in his sandals, his wooden staff slung over his shoulder as he walked ahead of him.

He looks down first to avoid unwarranted stares at him and his grandfather from members of the clan. His grandfather simply smirked with his wrinkly face and chuckled, pleased by their hostility towards them.

He gives them a silly wave acting so innocently as the two men staring at them turn their heads away in disgust.

The brown-haired heir then looks to the same old house, at the same window.

The girl wasn't there this time but whenever she was, she never smiled.

He knew her but he also didn't

Not even her name.

As far as Denshi knew, the two met a long time ago. At the age of six..

-

"N-No, please, I don't want to go without Maki!"

Little Mai cried as her arm was yanked by one of the servants, who was already fed up by her whines.

"Your stupid sister is grounded, Mai!" The servant growled at her, "Blame her for toying in the weapons inventory... for the second time!"

Her cries escalate and he's had enough, he grabs her and puts her in front of him. He starts scooting her to the entrance.

He leans into her ear,

"Listen child, all you need to do is bow and greet our guests and then you can go back to your sister when they leave. But please, don't embarrass us with your little fit."

He then smiles so evily,

"Unless you want your parents to get angry and punish you."

Her eyes shoot up in fear and her small frame starts to tremble

"N-no, please! I don't want that again.."

"Then be a good little girl and do what I say.."

The two approach the entrance and already see a line of members out in the front hallway.

And by the end of the line, it's her father, Oga Zenin, who stands with hands crossed by a doorway near a room.  Always with the same, grim look. He looks at her without any emotion before turning away to the room.

In that room, she hears hefty panting and some household nurses panicking within.

"Don't worry, brother. Help will be arriving soon." Oga firmly says, looking down to his brother on a bed. The man says, a pool of blood all over his chest as the nurses try to press it down.

Naobito Zenin lets out a tired laugh, sweat all over his forehead.

"That damn spirit got me," He growled, wincing in pain. "I can't believe I'm asking help from the fujiki."

"As much as we differ based on morals, we also can't lose the head of the Zenin family.."

And with that, the Zenin's messenger comes running into the household.
