I'm in my room picking out a shirt and pants to wear when Natasha comes barging in.
"So, first High School party, huh? You have fun with that."
"Wow, thanks for the support. Besides, how bad can it be?" You see her scoff a little before responding.
"Bad. You've never met high schoolers other than Peter and he's a nice one. Just you wait." And as if her only intention was to scare me, the prances off to go bug someone else. She can really be an asshole sometimes.
I looked at what my options were so far and started to get worried after what she said. What did she mean it was going to be bad? What should I wear? What if I dress like a dork? What if I attract too much attention? How much attention do I want to attract? And that's when I remembered probably the biggest detail of all. I'm Tony Stark's daughter. Shit.
"Ember, you about ready? We should probably go soon," Peter said outside my door.
"Just a second!" I yelled back. Well, it'll definitely be more than a second as I hadn't even picked out my outfit yet. I decided a cute crop top with ripped jeans was the way to go along with some big sunglasses. I knew I didn't leave the house very much so hopefully I wouldn't be very recognizable.
I walked out the door to see Peter waiting extremely patiently on his phone. He looked up at me and raised an eyebrow.
"What's with the sunglasses? It's dark out."
"Well I don't exactly want anybody to recognize me." He looked at me with some uncertainty before he started speaking again.
"I got us an uber to take us there. Just don't tell your dad." I giggled a little at that and then silently scolded myself. A giggle? Really, Ember?
Me and Peter then proceeded to walk down the hallway as he gave me a brief run down as to what most of these parties were like.
"There will be alcohol. Lot's of it. There will be lots of kissing. Everywhere. And lot's of party games. Some more uncomfortable than others. Oh, and if someone offers you a drink, please please please do not take it. Get your own drink. But remember, don't get full on drunk because we still have to face your dad when we get home. Got it?"
I nodded in response as my nerves started to kick in. Do I really want to go to this? Is it even going to be safe? Just when my nerves were about to overcome me, Peter turned and saw the look in my eyes.
"Your going to be fine," he assured me. "Just stick by me the whole time. It'll be fun. I promise." I nodded again and my nerves began to calm. There was just something about him that calmed me in general.

Instead of the uber meeting us at HQ, we had him meet us at a park a couple blocks down that way he wouldn't get suspicious. While me and Peter walked, I began to shiver.
"You cold?" He looked at me and seemed to have some real concern in his eyes.
"No, I'm fine. Just a bit chilled."
"That's the same thing as being cold. Here," he said taking his coat and placing it around me. I didn't need his coat though. Just looking into his eyes was warming enough. Stop it Ember. That's all sappy romance stuff from sappy rom-coms. This is real life. Get with the program.

After about half an hour, me and Peter arrived at a huge house with kids pouring out of every crack. Wow. So this is what a high school party looks like.
Kids were on the lawn making out and the smell of alcohol was overwhelming. I think Peter sensed my nervousness because he took my hand and led me inside. A couple people looked at us as we tried to walk to an empty corner in the room. Unfortunately, even that was a challenge. We even had to wait for a couple clearly deep in kissing to look at us move so we could walk on. Jeeze. What a shit show.
I was in the corner with Peter refusing to let go of his hand as I took in the environment I was in. Whenever my dad would have parties that weren't business related, he would always make me stay in my room. Apparently it was "too grown up for me." I still scoff at that.
"Peter?" I look to my right to see a boy walking towards us.
"Oh hey Ned. Ned this is Em-," I jabbed him quickly in the ribs with my elbow before he could say anything else. "Emily. Emily this is Ned." I looked at this Ned kid for a good 3 seconds before I gave a sort of nice-to-meet-you smile. I would have actually said "nice to meet you" but for some reason my mouth refused to work.
"Peter could I talk to you for a second?" Peter nervously glanced to me before showing me one finger signaling one second and walking away.
While Peter and Ned were talking, I spotted a table with punch about 10 feet away. Great. I'm so thirsty.
I walked over to the table and began filling my cup all the way to the top with the fruit punch. As I was filling it, I noticed a few stares from other kids but thought nothing of it. I then proceeded to walk back over to where Peter and Ned were finishing up. Peter seemed to have a sort of annoyed look on his face when he returned.
"Sorry about that. He wanted to talk to me about a lego thing we're building." I laughed a little at that inside. Of course Peter would be into legos.
I took a couple big gulps of my punch before Peter started asking me about it.
"Where'd you get that from?"
"Over there," I said pointing to the table. Immediately worry crossed Peter's face.
"Ember that punch was spiked with a whole lot of vodka. "

Hi guys! I'm so sorry I didn't update recently. School has kinda dug a special little hole for me if that makes sense. Anyway I made this chapter 1000+ words because I felt really bad. I hope you enjoyed! xoxo
