The world is a dangerous place
Not because of those who do bad
Not because of those who discriminate
But because of those who watch without making change. no one can confirm
From where they stand the angle is different
How they view me doesn't seems to concern them

One more chapter to go 🥳

ANONYMOUS POV

They all watched as Xavier was dragged into the court with hand cuffs on both his hands and feet.

Her eyes were sore from all the tears she had shed, she was tired of the world.

His eyes were sore from all the tears he had shed, he was tired of the world.

He looked around, trying to figure out if the love of his life had come.
She watched him look around waiting for his eyes to land on her.

She gasped as she saw his bruised face.
He smiled as he saw her pretty face.

Her heart shattered, she was completely broken, if her body could stop functioning it would, but love would not let it stop.

His heart bounced, he felt the missing piece of the puzzle finally attached, creating a masterpiece, if he could run up and kiss her he would, but society would not let them.

'SOCIETY' -

Noun - wants you to be yourself... but they choose how they want you to be yourself.

Digs a deep hole in our minds
Plants a seed
A flower grows which is named 'fear.'
Makes people forget who they were
Because of what the world wants them to be
It makes people worry about their reputation
Does the word character even exist?
To the point who you really are is extinct.

"All rise!"

Everyone stood up as the Judge came walking in.

"I was there."

"Okay Jessica, could you please tell us what happened whiles in the ice cream shop?"
The lawyer asked her.

"Me and Joseph went to go get ice cream when we bumped into Xavier and his girlfriend, Xavier and I used to be together however I broke things off - leaving us on bad terms. He was extremely angry when had seen that I've moved on quicker than other, he verbally attacked Joseph at first then after decided that violence was the answer, so he made the first hit."

"I object!" The lawyer stood up.

"Your honour, Xavier here tells us that it was an act of self defence, Joseph made the first hit." He spoke.

"Okay please hand in the evidence that Joseph hit him first." The judge had spoke back.

"Your honour, there seems to be an issue, when we had asked the shop owner for the CCTV footage, they said that somehow it was erased." The lawyer spoke disappointed, at this point everyone knew there was no point of trying, Xavier had been set up.

"Therefore do not interrupt again, make sure you have gotten some evidence."

"You honour I would like to call up Journey Thomas." The other lawyer spoke up.

Journey got up in fear, she was nervous, thinking that maybe she'd say the wrong thing and Xavier will get thrown to prison.

"Journey, during the time in the coffee shop, who had noticed that the other person was there first, as in who had said the first words to another."

Journey gulped as she thought back to when they saw each other.
She felt disappointed at herself as she could not remember a single thing.

"I-I don't remember.."

She was confused, ever since she passed out the other day, some of her memory had faded.

Xavier gave her a look of dismay, he had so much ambition that she could somehow save him, in less than a second, that hope was erased.

"But I know he didn't do anything wrong, he would never make the first hit, he tries his best to control himself.... I don't know.. I've seemed to have forgotten." She cried in the stand.
She was disappointed at herself more than anyone could be, she was also confused, how did she forget the most important thing.

She could only blame herself if something was to happen to Xavier, she had failed him.

"Ma'am that's okay, you don't remember therefor there's no need for you to talk." The lawyer that was going against Xavier spoke up.

"Your honour, it was obvious that Xavier had done such an act due to jealousy. Joseph is a young and rich gentleman, I won't be shocked myself if Xavier was jealous, he probably released all his anger on Joseph, all the anger from the times he's been disrespected.. or even because his mum had cancer."

"No! Stop, your not being equal right now, his mums sickness has nothing to do with this, your manipulative."

"Look at you supporting him, I thought you were part of us, maybe you were part of it. I won't be surprised... just look at you." The lawyer pointed at Journeys skin.

"Your honour I object, right now he's being racist, this whole thing is not fair, but he's not wrong." The lawyer defending Xavier spoke up. Deep down Journey knee this lawyer did not care, he just wanted his money, it was certain that the lawyer wanted Xavier in prison, he just couldn't show it.

"How can I be racist when my wife's great grandparents are black." The other lawyer argued back.

"SILENCE! Do you have anymore witnesses or are we done here?" The judge asked.

"Yes Your honour, apparently a young man name Ryan was there."

Xavier and Journey made eye contact as their eyes popped wider.

'Did I hear right?', they thought to themselves. Ryan was not there, he was no where to be completely honest, yet he had claimed he saw everything happen.

"Ryan were you present when Xavier hit Joseph?"

Ryan looked into Xavier's eyes, hurt....
They were both hurt.
Ryan was hurt that he was about to lie.
Xavier was hurt that his closest friend would deceive him.
But then again, Lucifer was Gods close friend.

"Ryan! I am talking to you.. did you see everything that happened? And did Xavier hit him first?"
The judge snapped in Ryan's face causing him to jump.

Ryan's heart started to beat, he was getting nervous, he didn't want to disappoint Jessica, he promised that he'd lie, however once he looked at Xavier face he knew he couldn't do it.

He took a deep breathe then licked his lips before speaking.

"Y-......"
